"We informed Host and Stay the day we arrived the toilet down stairs was not working. We called them each day we were there to get resolution. They came to look at the toilet the next day in the afternoon and yet they did not fix the toilet. They made no attempt the remaining 2 days we were there. When we left 2 days later, the toilet had not been fixed. Host and Stay has been non-responsive as to offering us a refund."

"We booked two barns to celebrate New Year and my retirement with family. It was a really large space for us all. We had a great stay. Only downside was the barns need a bit of updating. Otherwise perfect for us all."

"The cottage is lovely, warm, comfortable and everything you need. Located outside Whitby off the Scarborough road easily accessible to local areas including Robin Hoods bay and Whitby using the buses. Many walks from the cottage too. Need a set of walking boots if the weather is wet. We really enjoyed our stay."

"We had a fabulous time over NewYear in this lovely, cosy, warm & well-equipped property. Hosts were very welcoming. Fabulous views and lovely walks nearby and a trip into Whitby just a short drive away. A beautiful snow covered landscape on our final day. "

"Really nicely decorated and spacious property. It was difficult to heat downstairs on the first couple of days (but was particularly cold outside) and there were no logs or kindling for the fire. We had a great stay regardless!"

"The cottage is lovely. Spacious and very comfortable. Lythe is a gorgeous village. Excellent shop and really good pub. We had Sunday lunch there. Very close to Sandsend which is a fantastic beach."

"Overall the property was very well kept, clean and tidy. The bedrooms have a really relaxing feel with very comfortable beds, the shower room was lovely and warm and working exactly as it should, these are probably the most important things for us when we book a stay away, a good shower to help relax and a great nights sleep, and the owners have got that perfect here. The only thing we felt wasn't ideal for the dark winter was the living room light is on a censor and switches on when it detects...

"We absolutely love this place been a few times now and every time is spot on perfect (wish we had some sugar and tea bags and milk for the room but will remember next time) brilliant as a dog friendly place, our pup loved it!
