"Check in was very good. Friday night meal was ok, shame no mixed grill, steak, hunters chicken or pedigree bitter. Reported faulty shower 8.30am Saturday morning whilst having breakfast, my wife had a shower and if flooded the bathroom, including soaking the light fitting. "We've stayed here before the pub is in the town center with free parking. Rooms are dated but clean, double usb sockets on bedside lamp (nice touch). Staff are polite and friendly. Nice cheap accommodation in the heart of malton. Busy karaoke bar but not too noisy in the room. Will stay again. "

"Great place to stay with grwt facilities. Lovely spacious room and easy check in. The only thing was that the check out time was incorrect on Expedia to the actual check out time so had to get out of the room earlier than planned. "

"We stayed with our young son for 3 nights in July 2024. The staff were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and helpful with everything we needed and great with interacting with our young son. The food - breakfast and dinner - is truly incredible with nothing too much trouble. The only downside we experienced really was that we were in a room on the top floor which, while the room had clearly been hoovered etc, it was dusty in places with lots of cobwebs - while we don't mind spiders, we removed...

"The owners were really helpful. I informed them beforehand I was arriving late, but I was even later than planned and they had no problem with this. It was a friendly welcome and I just needed a bed as a base for wildlife photography at Bempton and this fitted the bill. There was a bit of wear and tear in the room, but it was clean and a nice building. And great value for money. I would stay again."

"My advice to anyone going to Beverley do not stay at the game bird it should be shut down because in my opinion it is a health hazard my breakfast was not cooked it was cremated never again"
