"The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is a nice hotel and I enjoyed my stay there, but it falls short of being a 5-star place. The location is great, right next to the train station (S-bahn) and walkable to Old Town in the centre of Munich. The staff was very helpful and friendly and gave me a room upgrade (my first room was in the cold, far corner of the building). The Spa is wonderful. Great sauna and steam room. "Utilitarian on the outside but beautiful and modern on the inside. The room was comfortable, but the pillows were quite firm. The restaurant had a nice ambience and the food was decent. My husband enjoyed his meal, but we weren't impressed by the pumpkin soup. We really liked the convenience of the bus stop, where we caught a bus to the terminal. Very nice service and a good option if you need a place close to the airport."
