"We booked via Expedia to stay for 3 nights in January 2022, however the property had been double booked and we were left stranded in the middle of nowhere, with two children, in the rain and with darkness falling. Not good at all. Seriously displeased. How the double-booking happened, I do not know. I had all supporting confirmation paperwork printed out and by email. However, what I do know is that the manager simply blamed expedia and took no responsibility for the issue. The people already...

"Perfect place for a relaxing stay. Each bedroom is spacious, lots of storage and has an ensuite. Pool is great. The onsite staff are amazing and very welcoming and helpful (definitely book a dinner made by Dinesh!). The breakfast is also delicious. Good restaurants in the area (including one right across the street). Property is lovely and backs directly on to the beach. "

"Had a great stay... only down side being we were only there for 2 nights Lovely hotel, with very friendly staff. Rooms great and well appointed.Great setting and relaxing after or before safari. Only bit of advice is dont go too late for breakfast or buffet evening meal, as its all been hoovered up. Would recommend and if we find ourself in same area again, will re book. "

"Such a lovely little place to stay for the night. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were so kind and lovely, the home cooked food was some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. They also arranged a safari for us, we had a jeep to ourselves, and saw many animals (elephants, monkeys, mongoose). All in all a fabulous experience, and incredible value for money. "

Warm hospitality close to Udawalwae

"A wonderful stay at Mansala, with very friendly and helpful hosts. We had a room with balcony and two double beds for us and our son. The owner was able to arrange our safari, taxi and trip to the Elephant Transit home. All very close by. Excellent communication. They organised some water for the early morning safari and breakfast on our return. Freshly cooked and plentiful breakfast. The family were generous with their hospitality"
