Great place to stay
Fab cottage to stay in full of character. We loved the cosy lounge snd the huge parking area was a bonus. Walking in the area is fab and the little shopping village almost next door is great. Highly recommend this quirky cottage.

Character cottage, ideally located in North Norfolk
An ideal and comfortable cottage for families taking a break in North Norfolk. We loved the space it offered and the garden area was ideal for our dog to run around safely. Beautiful walks were minutes away and the property is ideally located for visits to Wells, Hunstanton and many beautiful villages on the Norfolk coast. Would certainly recommend to others.

Family fun with the dogs
Lovely cottage in a much loved location on the north Norfolk coast. Plenty of room for 7 but the downstairs shower a little small. Upstairs bedroom and bathroom very smart. The TVs could be a bit bigger. We all slept well, the cottage was very clean and would recommend it.

Cosy cottage, beautifully decorated
We stayed at Toad Hall over New Year and it suited us perfectly. Cottage was very cold when we arrived but once the heat was on and the fire was lit it was cosy and warm. Very spacious, huge dining table which meant we didn't have to clear the jigsaw off to eat! Would recommend Holkham beach and Brancaster... beautiful sunsets to watch from the sand. Lots of visiting birds to see, we also went to Titchwell RSPB reserve which was well worth the visit. Walked to The White Horse but it was so busy we went on to the Jolly Sailors... not the same view but so pleased we did, the food was fantastic, try the mussels which you can also buy fresh in the village. Shops nearby were expensive but worth it for convenience. Good selection of "posh" ready meals for that first night when you are tired. Would recommend!

Another lovely week
Stayed in Toad Hall for the second time and we had a lovely week. Heating had been upgraded and everywhere was nice and warm despite cold wet weather and the logburner is fantastic and so easy to manage. Quirky layout adds to the charm.

Great place for the family!
This is the 2nd time we've been to Toad Hall for a family break away - we love it there! We were only slightly disappointed that the heating hadn't been on at all, as we had a small baby with us it took a whole day for the property to warm through. All that being said we still had a fabulous family holiday and have already booked for nexr year!!

Beautiful cottage
Beautiful cottage in a great village with a shop, cafe and pub a short walk away. Couldn’t of asked for anything better. Would definitely go back.

Quaint cosy cottage with a lot of character.
Comfy sofas and beds, well equipped kitchen, lovely furnishings and decor. Wood burners for cosy warmth in cooler evenings, just perfect for our stay. Good walks locally and great to have shops so close by that included visitor info, crafts, gifts, food, fuel etc. Could've been cleaner, but only in the corners. The air bath was an unusual experience, would've preferred another shower over the bath upstairs. Overall it was cosy, quaint and a delightful place to be.

Lords of Toad Hall
Wonderful location for walks and investigating the local area. Loved all the quirkiness of Toad Hall, the room layout was perfect for us, and the kitchen well stocked. Boot room was great for the dogs, ergo the wood floors throughout. Didn’t like the resident spider!! Would I stay here again? In a flash :))

Ideal cottage for three generations of family
Although near to the main road the site was secure and ideal for young children to play in the garden. The cottage itself is quite old but is in need of some refurbishment to warrent the rental fee asked.

Early summer break
My husband and I wanted to return to North Norfolk only having discovered it last year and thought how very beautiful the whole area is. We like spacious cottages even though there is only two of us and our dog and Toad Hall filled that bill perfectly. A lovely large old school house with 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lounge was very comfortable with big sofas and comfy cushions. The two bathrooms could do with a little updating but it didn't really matter, only small iissue was the downstairs shower does not work as efficiently as it could and the doors are tricky to get closed properly but we managed. We would certainly consider staying at Toad Hall again as the location is just great for the areas we like to visit best.

Toad Hall in Norfolk
Did find it a bit expensive for three nights, but that’s probably because it was Easter weekend. Shower is downstairs, not very powerful, upstairs water pressure was excellent. Lots of room inside, garden not really as expected, not very big, but it rained most of the time so it didn’t really matter. Our four year old grandson loved all of the inside, plenty of room for his train tracks. Close to some lovely eating places. Can’t say much about customer services as we didn’t see anyone, but that was fine, we had numbers if we needed help. The cottage was mostly clean, toilets, bathrooms, bedrooms etc., but we had to clean kitchen floor due some liquid and chips on the ground, nothing we couldn’t handle, just unexpected, we would go again, but would pray for better weather. Many thanks.

Early Spring getaway
Toad Hall has a great layout for groups and is well equipped although a washing machine would have been useful. location was excellent for visiting the Norfolk coast and if you didn't want to drive the Coastal Hopper stopped just across the road. Dogs loved walking the coast path and everyone should visit the Jolly Sailor at least once.

Perfect location
Having visited this area twice before we knew that the location of Toad Hall was fab. There are some lovely walks on the doorstep, very close to a couple of good pubs, cafe & convenience store & the amazing beach at Brancaster only 2 miles away. There were only 2 of us staying in the cottage with a dog, it's roomy & would comfortably accommodate a larger family, the sofa's & master bed were comfy & kitchen well equipped. We were fortunate/unfortunate to have stayed the week that the beast from east blasted us so we found areas of the cottage very cold, that being said we enjoyed the log burner every day in the lounge & appreciated the 2 baskets full of logs provided. The bathrooms were spotless & for the most part everywhere else was very clean although we found some of the crockery & glasses needed to be washed before use. There's only 1 shower in the property downstairs & one of the doors were a bit tricky too.

lovely cottage, warm and cosy, well equipped apart from a washing machine..which we would of expected. I think that should be highlighted in the details or addressed by the owners. great location, good for eating and drinking and a local shop!
