Dating from 1890, and sitting on a quiet side road in the popular village of Heacham, The Old Methodist Chapel comprises of traditional brick construction fronted with twin stained glass arch windows sat either side of the grand entrance door. As you open the large door you are welcomed into a stunning vaulted double-height sitting room which is quite something to behold. To the back of the room your eye is caught by a feature wrought iron spiral staircase curving up to an additional mezzanine seating area overlooking the main room, and the first floor bedrooms. The sitting room with original wooden floors is furnished with ultra comfortable sofas inviting you to sit down and enjoy the warmth from a large wood burning stove while you watch your favourite show on the widescreen television. A three-in-one games table sits to one side of the room and will surely keep both older and younger members of a family well entertained. Stepping through to the second super spacious and sociable vaulted room next door you will find a well-equipped contemporary fitted kitchen which offers two dining options, sitting up at the island or more formally at the table, and a further seating area with sofa, wall-mounted television and a small wood burning stove. A useful adjoining utility room with laundry facilities runs off the kitchen. Behind the sitting room a small inner hallway gives access to two of the chapel's four bedrooms, each one with a super-king zip and link bed that can be offered as twin beds, and a luxury family bathroom with a free-standing claw foot bath as well as a large walk-in shower, and a separate cloakroom. Upstairs are the two remaining bedrooms, both with king-size beds, and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite to the master bedroom. Outside the chapel is an enclosed, landscaped and private courtyard garden to enjoy when the days are longer and nights are warm.
The Old Methodist Chapel is a great place for a holiday all around the year, and will suit young and old alike.The village of Heacham has excellent amenities and all are within easy walking distance, as is the local beach - a mere fifteen minute saunter away. For anyone looking to explore this delightful area of North West Norfolk, inland or coastal, as well as further afield, you really couldn't find a cooler place to stay.
