The Foundry is a stylish, recently refurbished blacksmiths forge in the picturesque and historic village of Burnham Market, nestled a few miles from the stunning North Norfolk coast.
The property boasts a wealth of period features including a spacious living, dining, kitchen space with a magnificent vaulted ceiling and feature brick chimney housing a cosy wood burning stove. The kitchen is by Fired Earth with a tall Smeg fridge freezer and Smeg range cooker.
There are 3 beautiful en-suite bedrooms, two with showers and the stunning loft bathroom features a roll top bath.
The house has all mod cons, WiFi and a lovely secure, private garden incorporating a spacious raised deck area with outdoor furniture and plenty of lighting, the central feature being an old fruiting apple tree.
Smaller breed dogs are allowed at the owners discretion with an additional charge.
Burnham Market boasts a wealth of quality restaurants, bars and cafes to cater for all tastes. In addition there is a variety of shops selling everything from provisions for your stay to designer clothes, books and home interior accessories. Plus there is a selection of art galleries selling and exhibiting work by local artists and craftspeople as well as national and global talent. The village is also home to a tennis club that is available to book for non residents.
Burnham Market hosts many different events throughout the year; the twice yearly horse trials, Summer craft fair, Christmas fair, vintage motor rally and farmers markets.
The Coasthopper bus connects all the villages along the coast and there are several local taxis companies.

Super break in a lovely property!
The Forge is a lovely place to stay - comfortable, clean and with everything needed for a home from home break. Great location, just a short walk into Burnham Market, with Wells, Brancaster etc nearby and Holt around 30 mins drive. We will certainly stay here again.

Great location to explore north Norfolk
Was quirky and clean. Front room was great for socialising. Just a little note to say maybe for new guests a clearer idea of directions to property would be very helpful as we drove around in circles.

The Foundry was the perfect Norfolk gem. A great base to explore the quintessential villages of North Norfolk. The property ticked all the boxes. It offered everything we needed, the decor was very tasteful with some fabulous artworks. We will definitely return

Lovely house & location
6 of us (adults) and the dog stayed here for a long weekend for mum & dad's 50th anniversary. The house was lovely especially the kitchen & dining area. Single beds in 2 rooms which was fine & we knew this anyway, main bedroom for the anniversary couple was lovely. Lovely location for visiting other areas & Burnham market was lovely. Enjoyed the pubs & food good in all of them. Lovely weekend.

Perfect base for north Norfolk adventure
The house was great - clean, incredibly comfortable (particularly the garden sofas) and so well equipped for us and our two children. The owner was quick to respond and even sent over a lighter weight duvet (unprompted) to ensure we weren’t too hot. Perfectly located for Burnham Market and easy to get to all of the best beaches. A really special family hols! Would recommend Tuscan Farm shop in Burnham Market for coffee, Holkham and Brancaster for beaches, and Drove Orchards for a shop/ice cream/fish and chips.

A home from home
This is a lovely property within a 10 minute walk of the local restaurants in Burnham Market. There is everything you need to entertain yourselves even if it rains or shines. The only thing missing were umbrellas which we forgot to bring from home with us.🤦‍♀️

Keeping this one a secret
This was a long await break put on hold thanks to Covid. Most of our stay was spent in front of the log burner spending quality time with family. The property is a hidden gem with quality finishing. The only down side is that it is not ideal having an open bathroom in the top bedroom. A minor inconvenience nonetheless and did not detract from our stay.. Can't wait to return.

Burnham Market cottage
We enjoyed 3 nights (limited availability or would have stayed longer) in The Foundry. It is a lovely cottage with character well positioned to access the centre of the village but away from the busiest part. Comfortable and clean and a lovely, albeit small, garden ideal for an evening G&T. The owner has an eye for style and it’s well equipped for most needs. Ideal venue for exploring the beaches at Brancaster and Holkham too.
