Perfect location for a romantic getaway with a private sandy beach and lakefront lawn only a few steps from the front door. Order dinner in or prepare it yourself in the well equipped kitchen and charmingly decorated dining area OR bring your meal down to the sand for a beautiful sunset picnic. Take a stroll along the beach to nearby Moon Dunes or North Tahoe Beach. Have a romantic ending to your day curled up on the sofa by the fireplace.

Chateau Chamonix lakefront condominium complex is one of north shore's most well-kept lake access secrets. This 'Hidden Gem' one bedroom, one bath unit was brought down to studs and has been artfully rebuilt with new wiring, plumbing, heating, cabinets, appliances, furniture, and more. Double insulation walls keep the space cozy, peaceful and quiet. The gorgeous interior is also outfitted with hand scraped hickory hardwood floors.

The living room has a sofa sleeper (with a tempur-pedic pad that can be added for additional comfort) for the kids or third person. The well stocked kitchen has a bar with barstools and all updated appliances. There is one assigned parking spot in front of the unit. There is also an outdoor space available to use by the front door of the unit's building that offers a picnic table, umbrella and lovely landscaping. Feel free to use at your leisure and enjoy!

The lakefront lawn and sandy beach are the best for sunrises and sunsets or to launch your paddle board or take a swim. A lovely, gated pool (subject to conditions) is just steps away from the unit and is ideal for family play fun. This sunny location is within blocks to shopping, dining, grocery store and casinos.

Water sports rentals for parasailing, wave runners, kayaks, and paddleboards are nearby, along with bike rentals and golfing at Old Brockway Golf Course. There are two miniature golf courses nearby if your young one gets tired of swimming.

Please note that while there is a computer on the work desk in the photos, there is not one in the unit. Also, you will need coins in order to use the laundry machines in the common area.

Good location, but at least a $100 a night too high price. Beach area could use some help, but lawn area nicely kept with a great view. Parking pass emails were a little much or not needed.

Anniversary vacation
We had an amazing time. House was very nice and cozy. Super cute, updated and within walking distance to restaurants, beach and shopping. There is no where more beautiful than Lake Tahoe and this place has a small but private beach you can sit on the rocks and watch the waves. So nice. I would recommend in anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing time to stay here on the north end.

We enjoyed our stay a lot. It's a great location for skiing in the winter and for beach vacation in the summer. The unit was freshly remodeled, had all new appliances and everything we needed. It's designed with a great taste and looks beautiful inside. I'd love to come back again. Thanks!

Amazing place to stay in Kings Beach!
Large, sunny, and updated 1/1 unit in great complex, close to ther Safeway and 1/2 mile from the main street of the shops and restaurants. Customer service was amazing! Sheri went beyond her duty to make sure we got checked in (at 2:30pm in the middle of the night, I had to wake her) after 4 hour drive from Sacramento. I would highly recommend this place to families with 1-2 kids! - Allan

Almost Perfect Except For Noise
This is a really nice clean condo in a great location. Great communication and easy instructions for our arrival/entry! Loved the nice touch of a bottle of wine and snacks. We stayed three nights. The only problem is that on our last night we were awakened at 12:30am by the people staying in the unit above us. You can hear everything, there is no sound barrier, and they kept us awake for several hours in the middle of the night walking around, opening and closing drawers, talking loudly. They then went outside and congregated at the picnic table right outside our window. We closed all the windows, hoping that would help, making it hot and uncomfortable. We had to get up early to check out on time and were exhausted for our long drive the next day.

The Name Hidden Gem Says It All
The condo is called Hidden Gem and it truly is. The complex may look an older on the outside, but inside it’s completely updated and cozy. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and snack basket. There’s a binder with tons of information on the area, things to do, places to eat, hiking trails, maps, boating you name it, very helpful. The condo had everything we needed and was walking distance to the grocery store, restaurants, beaches and shops. The complex was quiet and other than a few people in the parking lot and beach, felt like we were the only ones there. The private beach is small, but was never crowded, maybe saw 2-3 other peolple on it a day. Was the perfect spot to launch our kayaks from or take a swim. Only warning is description says just steps from private beach; take this literally. There are a couple flights of stairs to get down to the beach. It was not a problem for us, but could be a challenge for some. Overall a great spot, will rent again.

Overall loved the location with beach access. Room wasn’t set up for lake activities. No place to store paddle boards, and no mats or storage for sandals coming in sandy from the lake. We loved walking into kings beach and Safeway was handy.

Quaint and close to little beach
Cute first floor apartment that’s just a short walk down to a small beach area. A grocery store is less than a half mile away with shops and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment doesn’t have AC but we opened the windows in the evening before bed and the place cooled down quite nicely. Great price for the location.

spacious enough and close to most of what you want to be near. My girlfriend and I stayed 5 days and had a wonderful time/ place is very clean and neat and we had no issues.
