"This was the first hotel ever in my entire history of travelling, where I have been unable to unplug the fridge in my daily mission to remove any unnecessary sound or lightning from the room, due to my sensitivity. It would have taken a high torque angled screwdriver, or an electric long-nose to undo that sucker. The rear of the unit was tucked in so neatly, it was unable to be reached from the front, with a neat little door strap. I checked for the obvious temperature dial inside, and any other way - however, this was not meant to be. This model was far too advanced for that. I left both defeated and impressed at the same time."

"One of the rarest venue that has gone far and about in order plan the Easter weekend for their guests. I was just in awe of the planning that went to provide activities such as marshmallows, movie, DJ Hour, face painting, Easter egg hunt and special menu. These are just to name a few. The stay here was nothing less than a surprise. Harry and his entire team made sure my experience was nothing less than magnificent. Words cannot express my gratitude to entire team for the hospitality showered upon us. A must recommend place to stay if visiting this beautiful town."

"We were beyond happy during our 4 days stay at the Balgownie when we were celebrating our wedding. The staff is fantastic and is the driver of all of our positive experience. The property is located ~1hr outside of Melbourne - we are from out of town and first time visiting here. Area is very quiet and a great getaway from the city. We had a group booking with ~10 rooms and the staff took care of each one of us during our stay. The staff is friendly, professional, and accommodating of our group - often recommending arrangements that would improve our experience proactively. We had the opportunity to use one of the group rooms as well for an event and it was very well catered. Food is fantastic but wish the portion is slightly smaller so we don't waste so much food! Property is in a modern condition, very clean and I thought was quite family friendly too. I particularly enjoyed the aesthetics of the hotel which combined modern design with some retro style - all worked well together. If you are looking for a weekend getaway or somewhere to visit near Melbourne, I highly recommend staying at Balgownie to make a special experience! "
