About this space
A historic experience in a quaint mountain town awaits! Built in the 1800s, this newly restored home is minutes from Pilot Mountain State Park and Hanging Rock State Park. Both offering climbing, hiking, and spectacular views! A short walk will take you to coffee shops, craft beer, fine wine, live music venues, and local shopping. The space
Artfully decorated to reflect the historic nature of this home, the space has a large great room with a living room area, bedroom area, and full size desk. The living room area includes a new 55” TV. The new queen size bed has Egyptian cotton sheets for your comfort. A sound machine is provided.
The large kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and bake. There is plenty of counter space and an island for additional prep space. A Keurig coffee machine and a regular coffee maker, coffee, Keurig pods, tea, creamer, sugar, oatmeal, and breakfast bars are provided. The large dining room table is perfect for enjoying a meal or playing board games.
The private bathroom has a full bathtub with shower, sink, and dressing area.
The spacious front porch is a lovely setting for enjoying morning coffee or relaxing after a fun day of sightseeing.You may see the train travel by! It usually comes through town at approximately 3 PM about twice a week. Otherwise it is a quiet getaway in a quaint mountain town.
Guest access
You will have access to the private Whistle Stop apartment, the front porch, and parking lot with two free spaces.
Other things to note
Family or friends (up to four adults) can share both the Whistle Stop apartment and the Caboose apartment. Please inquire if interested.
