Very nice stay
Everything was as expected. It was a very clean and fully functional apartment. It has a great location, ample firewood supply, and real close to workout facility. First time using a service like VRBO so I was hoping for the best. Location is great…quick access to slopes. Owner responds quickly to any questions you have.

Convenient to lifts of Pico
Location of condo is awesome. Very short walk to Pico lifts. The condo itself needs updating and repairs particularly in the bathrooms. The drapery needs replacing/repairs. Because you are the slope, you will hear the snow blowers all night. The condo has everything you need to be comfortable and have an enjoyable stay. I found it expensive for what it is but that is the market and you are paying to be literally on the slope.

Great location
Great location for hiking, biking, and skiing. We stayed for 1 month in the Fall. We really enjoyed living, and hiking in the mountains with beautiful views all around. We had everything we needed to live and work here. Easy access to Killington and Rutland.. Jon was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Extended stay
I’m a travel nurse and rented this unit for approximately 3 months. It was the off season, so it was very quiet. We did get some snow my last week and the sidewalks were well maintained. I would stay here again in the future.

Great Pico stay
Basic but clean and comfortable place to stay, especially with our dog and kids. Great location! We enjoyed being so close to the lifts. The days we felt lazy, we would take the triple lift right in front of the unit, ski down Bushwacker (very easy green trail) to the quad lift. The condo was so close, making it easy to come in for lunch and breaks. Great communication with the owner too. Our family really enjoyed the sleds in the closet, thanks. The lifts stop at 4:00, and the A slope makes for great sledding after that. Can't wait to come back. Thanks again!

Great Pico/Killington getaway
I previously only stayed off the Access Road and skied Killington for years. This condo gives views of the lifts at Pico and walking access to Pico base area. Pico mountain is a gem. It has great vertical and ski runs with character without the crowds. We skied Pico in the morning, did lunch at the condo, and then skied Killington in the afternoons. My 15 year old even got some solo morning runs at Pico when everyone else was sleeping in. The condo was super cozy and in good shape. Jon answered all of my questions. We also hit the Appalachian trail for some brief hiking in the snow, which is literally 2 seconds after you turn out of Pico with the trailhead on your right. You will have a wonderful stay if you book this place.

Not exactly as advertised--- Please read if you are going here to ski
We are an active Ski family that have skied all over Canada and the USA. Have owned our own Condo and have rented it out in Utah. We chose to try Killington Mountain this year, and opted for a place that offered SKI/!N-OUT so my family could come and go as they please. The pictures looked OK, a bit rustic, but clean. So we rented it for the week December 31- January 5th/ 2019. Upon arriving after a 10 hr drive there was a note on the door "DO NOT to use the toilets, as they are working on the plumbing downstairs!?" I text Jon and he told us to check it out ourselves, and talk to the Service Manager. That was it. Nothing else the entire trip via communication, even though I asked him a few questions in the same text. We went in- and the place was spacious but the place has not been renovated or maintained for quite a few years- I am guessing in the 1070's? ( I took pictures and if I can post them, I will- as I do not want anyone to think I am exaggerating) The carpet was so stained and tramped on that we never went barefoot the entire stay. It was even damp to the touch from over-wear. The chair in the living room was missing a foot, so my husband did his best to use a few VHS tapes to support it. Pieces missing off of the side of the kitchen table. Odds and ends left in the kitchen. One drawer was full of old condiment packages all oozy and sticky- so we cleaned out the drawer. The key to the Ski locker did not work, as it was so old and sticky, we would insert it and it wouldn't move. Just stick there- I text Jon. Nothing back. So we brought our ski's inside. I also asked if there was ANY soap to wash our hands upon arrival, tissue? Toilet paper? We had half a roll of toilet paper and that was it for amenities. Not as advertised. Ski in/ out? Yes, there IS a chair lift right there. However, Pico mountain is not connected to Killington and that is where you want to ski. Pico is only open from Thursday to Sunday. Not great for a ski holiday? Plus when the one lift was open and working? It was closed for Ski Racers only ( I took a picture of this as well) SO we drove to Killington each day. Paid way more than we should have for these accommodations and communication was very poor. The maid came to our door the last night, apologized for disturbing us - ( not at all) and told us she hadn't heard from the owner? When are we checking out? We went and bought supplies- soaps/ TP, etc. for the next poor renter!

Very pleasant stay
Communication with the renter was very good. The furniture was very comfortable and clean, Roku tv, fireplace, ski locker, etc. it was clear that the condo had been redecorated recently. It still needs some updating (peeling wallpaper, broken parts in dishwasher, balcony door that allowed wind to blow in). Overall, we had a great stay. We really liked the convenience of being near Killington without actually being in it. We spent the last first 2 (very cold) days of our stay exploring the area while our young adult children skied Pico and were able to the condo for lunch and warm-up breaks. For the last 2 days of our stay, we dropped the “kids” at Killington K1 lodge and then found places to cross country ski and snowshoe, which was perfect. Newbies to staying by a ski slope (like us) may be surprised to have the sound of snowmaking outside their bedroom all night, although that probably depends on conditions.

Perfect for Family Skiing!
Condo was ski-in/ski-out for Pico Mountain. Pico is smaller mountain for Vermont. Great for us as intermediate skier/snowboarders, but small and older compared to Killington/Okemo. Weather was iffy so the Pico trials were limited but Killington was half-open and only about 20 minutes away. There’s even a shuttle that runs regularly. As for the condo, it was nice and clean. Perfect for a family of 4. Two bathrooms were a huge plus. Same with the washer-drier. Bring your detergent and paper products, tho - wasn’t much on-site when we arrived. Easy parking and walk-up. Storage for skis right at the front door. Fitness center across the parking lot with a pool. $15/day for a guest pass, tho - which was a bit much — but still a nice option, especially if the weather doesn’t cooperate for skiing. Lots of good dining and parks for walking the dog. Overall, would definitely recommend!

Long weekend at Pico
Great experience in this Pico condo. Perfect location right at the base of Pico with good views of the mountain. Killington lifts only a 10 minute easy drive away. Jon was a great host, communicative and flexible. The condo was cozy, with a small wood burning fireplace, and a fully stocked kitchen. Great to be able to bring along our small lab. I’d love to come visit again.

This was perfect place for my husband, 2 daughter’s and one of their partners to stay for ski vacation and to see the World Cup. There were no issues and everything about our stay was uncomplicated. Directions on location, entry and stay were spot on and simple. We had a wonderful time and if ever we return to Killington we will seek out the same property.

QUIET, CLEAN MOUNTAIN GETAWAY
Great location in Green Mountains, especially for dog owners. Pico may be too quiet for some in summer. Clean, comfortable but a bit dated condo has no AC which can be a problem once it hits high 80s. Onsite gym and indoor pool a plus for reasonable additional fee. Climb little Deer Leap across the highway for killer views! Hear Irish music Friday nights at Inn on Long Trail at its base.
