Killington, Vermont Ski House w/ Hot Tub and Sauna

Our custom built home is located in Killington on an acre of land, on a paved town road with other vacation homes. It was designed with an eye to openness in the living areas, and people are impressed by how spacious it truly is. A second story has been added to make it bigger and even better. In November, 2018 the entire house was repainted inside, and all the carpeting was been replaced. It looks really great!

Our house has a large kitchen-dining area on the first floor with a 24' cathedral ceiling, along with 2 BRs, 1 &1/2 baths, an indoor sauna, a shower room for two and a Vermont Castings wood stove. A 'sun burst' pattern of antique skis & bamboo poles is displayed on one wall, with more antique skis and snowshoes displayed on other walls.
The second floor has a bedroom, full bath, a living area which extends the length of the house (40') and includes a sleeping alcove with a Murphy (queen) bed. There are two sofas, several chairs & a recliner as well. The living area affords a winter view of the Green Mountains beyond the trees. A sliding glass door exits onto a large deck with a new and larger hot tub, which descends to another deck facing the woods that has a dining table for eight. The living area extends 17' into the house to a balcony overlooking the dining area.
To keep our rates down, the rental does not include sheets, pillow cases or towels. Blankets and pillows are provided.
IMPORTANT: We do not accept Saturday arrivals or departures, as they would break up weekend rentals.
There is a 5 night rental minimum for New Year's 12'27-1/1.

Nice place for a friends vacation
The property had everything we needed for a friends vacation to Killington. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and upstairs common area. 5 minutes from Ramshead lodge or Skyeship Gondola. Only problem we had was the cleanliness of the house. We found vermin feces everywhere, including in the provided blankets. Would recommend just bringing your own blankets too, and it's a nice stay.

Homey and great hot tub/sauna!
The house was spacious and met all of our needs. The hot tub was lovely and so was the sauna, everything was clean and the house was only a ten minute drive from Killington skiing. The only thing is you need to bring your own sheets, toilet paper, and paper towels. There was also limited coffee and tea, but there was spices and cooking materials and utensils. The host was very accommodating and responded quickly to messages.

Total enjoyment
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. The owner, Thano, responded in a very timely manner when we had questions. We had a nice snowfall while we were there. I would suggest leaving the cars, as we did, in the upper parking area when a large snowfall is predicted so the driveway can be completely plowed. We were able to dig the cars out in the upper parking area but there was a sheet of ice under the new snow. We waited until the plow came and spread dirt for traction. We bought two containers of calcium chloride at the local store for the steps and upper part of the driveway for the ice. It really wasn't sufficient. Perhaps, next time, Thano could provide a large bag of calcium chloride to handle the ice. We would definitely consider staying at this house again.

Good place but needs updating and maintenance
The week started off unsettling when we arrived the walkway and driveway were not cleared properly only for us to find out in the morning. My SUV was stuck ( all wheel drive) and almost went into a tree from sliding. We called a tow truck and the tree in the driveway ripped my bumper off. Needless to say I was not happy. Being the first day, I wasn’t going to let it spoil the trip. The house was quaint but needs updating , bathrooms all need to be gutted. The downstairs smelled like mothballs as well. It’s VT , so weather can be harsh so we fully understand water in the house can be an issue. Overall , it was a nice trip and the memories the kids had in the hot tub were unforgettable. Thank you for that. Definitely find a new maintenance crew though. Not a good job

Great location, big house, fun weekend
The house was everything that we expected. The pictures are very accurate, and the only thing that I would say is misleading is that the house is actually much bigger than it seems. The pictures of the living room don't do it justice, it is very big and spacious. It was tough for me to decipher the layout of the house from the images so here is a breakdown: The entire house is essentially an open floor plan. The downstairs has a dining area, a seating area around a nice fire place, and a kitchen, as well as 3 bedrooms, 1 with a bathroom, and 1 bathroom in the hallway. The ceilings are vaulted and the 1st and 2nd floors are just one open area. Upstairs is the living room, which has 1 bedroom of of it and 1 bathroom. The jacuzzi is located on the second floor second. The house is definitely older and shows signs of use, but that is to be expected. The couches are not extremely comfy, so I would recommend bringing an air mattress instead of relying on the couch to sleep. Also, one of the twin beds was very uncomfortable and the person had to put down extra blankets and sheets to not feel the springs. The walkways were poorly shoveled and the outside deck was completely frozen over with several inches of ice. This might sound like complaints, but for us it was fine. We were a group of 22-24 year olds using the house for a ski weekend. I wouldn't come here with my parents, but I would recommend it to anyone who is just looking for a big fun house to stay in that is super close to the mountain.

Great property, minor snags
My friends and I came up for a ski weekend. There were definitely more rooms than we initially thought so everyone got a bed (all 7) and the hot tub was amazing after a long day of skiing. Upon arrival, there were cleaning people there which was a tad disconcerting since we showed up at 6pm in the dark. Thano was great about picking up the phone to talk to us. Wish the cleaning people and the property manager had better communicated our arrival so we didn’t have to leave and come back when they were finished. Had some issues with the stove top after cleaners accidentally left the coils unplugged but Thano helped us figure it out and everything else was a breeze. While definitely some strange snags and having to bring our own linens, towels, tp, and soap, I think that this place was a great spot and at the end of the day, we’d love to come back.

Fabulous for Girls Weekend Getaway
We rented this beautiful house for our annual girls' weekend, and it was perfect. 4 bedrooms, plenty of entertainment space, good size kitchen, super nice hot tub, and we kept warm every night with the wood burning stove. Close to everything fun at Killington. Highly recommend.

Great location, spacious for groups
The house was a short 7-minute drive to Killington and was more than enough space for our group of 5. We found everything we needed: pots, pans, trash bags, blankets, etc. We did have to bring our own towels and sheets as the listing states, so you should plan accordingly. Most of the beds were comfy though the twin beds could use a little work. I drove a 4WD SUV and parked it in the parking pad (not the driveway) for extra caution after reading some reviews. I'm glad we did bc the weather conditions were bad on our check out day and the driveway was really icy so not sure if we would've made it out. The host does provide salt and shovels so you can prepare but we didn't want to risk it since we were there for a relaxing girls ski weekend. The hot tub after a day of skiing was a huge plus! Overall highly recommend.
