Centrally located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills! Casa de Paz or Peaceful House. Walking distance to new Publix grocery store, restaurants and activities like putt-putt. Spend your days at the beach or cooking out in the spacious backyard. Well-suited for a large family or multiple households vacationing together. One of the very few streets with pedestrian crosswalks that ensures safe crossing to the public beach access while also offering the quiet sound side neighborhood.

The ground floor is not available to guests.

Good family vacation
House was very clean and close to everything (Food Lion open 24/7, mini golf and the beach!). Cleaning supplies were limited, but owner brought more. Great house for the price!

The Perfect Comfort
This was a beautiful home close to the beach! The home had just enough room for everyone to have their own space after being together all day. Host was prompt to respond and answer any questions we had. Will definitely be returning and telling family and friends of the home. If anything, I would suggest making sure you bring toiletries. Overall a great place to vacation.

Wonderful Long Weekend
We had a wonderful long weekend in OBX to visit my brother and his wife, shop and eat! Staying at Casa De Paz was perfect. The location and an the overall condition and decor was excellent.

Super clean and comfortable!
We loved the open layout and the big yard- perfect for our group of 9. Publix is a super quick walk and we loved the easy access to the beach as well as the sound side.

Good, clean property with plenty of amenities. Very easy to walk to putt putt, the grocery store, etc and a fairly short walk to the beach. The host was easy to work with and quick to respond during our stay

Wonderful house
We really loved our mini vacation in this clean, newly renovated spacious house. Location was very convenient, deck and backyard was very nice. It was very easy to get in touch with owners, they were very responsive and helpful. Overall, it was a great stay!

Beautiful, clean home in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to everything! If you are concerned about the distance to the beach (I was) let me put your mind at ease. It's well within walking distance, even with an 8 year old after a day in the ocean. Cannot recommend enough!!

Great Property for Our Needs
Great property for our family vacation. The location was walking distance to the beach, grocery store, and mini golf course. Plenty of towels were provided, including beach towels, which was great. Easy to clean up with a hose out front and outdoor shower in the back. We spent most of our time outside of the house (at the beach, around OBX, etc.), however, everything we needed was found in the house.

The property was exactly as described and shown in the photos. Everything was very clean and well kept when we arrived. The property is a short walk (prob 10 mins) from the Beach. The Publix shopping center is about a 2 minute walk from the home. Would recommend this home to anyone!

Enjoyed our Labor Day weekend
We had a nice stay here for a group of 6 adults over the long weekend. It is conveniently located about 10 minutes from the beach, and also very close to the grocery store (basically across the street). Kitchen was fairly well stocked, although we did have to purchase a few things that were completely out or running low when we got there (dishwasher detergent and trash bags). Otherwise had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend at the beach.

Maria (homeowner) was outstanding… very responsive and helpful. We accidentally left cash in an envelope after we had left and she contacted us about returning it. Very honest and we had the feeling she truly wants her guests to have a great stay. We will be back!!!

Perfect family getaway
Thank you so much for providing my little family with this opportunity to sneak away for a weekend! We booked a senior photo session for my twins’ senior pictures with Studio Nassetta (excellent), and then enjoyed some family time at the beach. Your house was perfectly located to make it an easy trip to the public beach, grocery and fun activities. Your kitchen had everything we needed. Towels and sheets made it so much easier to pack for this trip! Thanks again for helping us make some wonderful memories!

OBX Vacation
For the price the house was small. I believe once they finish the basement it will be much nicer. Outside furniture was dirty and the back deck is small for the amount of people you can have in the house. The grill requires charcoal which is not the easiest thing to cook on for a large group it really needs another bathroom or at least a half bath. Location was great for us. The host was very quick to answer any of our questions. Just wish there was more to the house for entertaining. and to be able to spread out more

OBX Dream Vacation
Thank you Maria! Our family of 6 had a wonderful, relaxing, beautiful vacation in OBX. This “house of peace” is a true treasure. Warm, inviting and beautifully decorated. Very clean with all needed amenities and perfect location. Central to shopping, grocery, and the beach! We enjoyed days in the water, kayaking, exploring the national seashore, and making memories to last a lifetime. My husband and sons loved the proximity to the Wright Brothers Memorial and Kitty Hawk. Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head were great locations, excellent local restaurants and we felt very safe in this area. Highly recommend this property, communication was timely, friendly, and easy. Thank you again for a great experience!

great location and house had everything we needed.
Our family loved our OBX vaca and the lodging had a huge part in our successful trip. The house was a quick 5-10 minute walk to the 1st street beach access, the grocery store was 1 block away. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and rinsing off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach was clutch! The kitchen was well equipped for cooking each day, the laundry was helpful, beds were comfortable and towels plentiful. The only issue we noticed was that the common bathroom fixtures were falling off the walls. Everything still worked fine, just needs to be tightened and looked into. Would definitely stay again, thank you for the lodging and great memories.

The stay was fine other then finding a dead roach in the livingroom that I had no problem with. Until the owner wanted to charge me $150 for 2 towels being dirty which could of been washed with the sheets by the cleaning lady and being told the bathroom smelt like cigarettes which no one in my party smokes and if I did why would I chose to do it in the bathroom. So just watch this lady dont try to get extra money off you but the place was overall alright

Fine for short stay
The house was clean and sheets and towels were provided. The house is much smaller than expected and you have no access to garage or anywhere to store any beach equipment brought with you. The location is convenient to Publix and the main drive in town and the mini golf right there was great. A bit longer walk to the beach bc you have to cross the Main Street. The neighborhood is mostly full time residents and not many rentals so felt a bit out of place and some of the surrounding houses were not great. The yard of the property also needs better maintenance. The grass was quite long and there were a lot of bugs. There is also an electrical cord running from the box in the yard through the backyard and into the house which is peculiar and not safe to play around so basically unusable. The “grill” on property is laughable and unusable as well. The grill has a spatula that has been sitting outside with it for so long that it is now rusted to the grill. The kitchen in this house needs some improvement. The knives were awful so dull you could barely slice a tomato and no way to sharpen them. No scissors and lacking several other essentials. The washing machine is in the kitchen and main living area and is extremely loud, hard to watch a movie or hangout when it is running. There is only one tub in the house and there is no stopper for it so had to shove a wash cloth in it to bath the kids. The house needs some more updates but it worked enough for our short stay.
