Kay Dee Haus is a great house in the perfect location in the heart of Kill Devil Hills. Located just a short walk from the beach and restaurants (including one of the few ocean front restaurants in the Outer Banks) the location provides the perfect combination of "being close to it all" as well as the relaxation of a beach vacation. The 1000 sq feet of large decks, open great room (no bedrooms located on the top floor), rec. room and pool area provide many great spaces for your family to relax and enjoy each other's company. This house is pet friendly, so no need to leave your four-legged family members at home. 

2025 FREE pool heat 3/30/25-6/6/25 and 8/30/25-10/10/25.  Available during other weeks for an additional $250 pool heat fee. The pool heat will only work if the air temp is 60 degrees and is only capable of heating the pool to 10 degrees above the ambient air temperature.  

Outside: Parking for 5, basketball, outdoor shower, Private Heated Pool (25x10), Hot Tub (6), covered entry. 

Ground Level: Bedroom w/ 2 Duo Bunk Beds (double on bottom, single on top), full hall bath, Rec. room w/ pool table, full size fridge, laundry, wet bar, large flat screen TV, pool access.

Mid-Level: King Master Bedroom En Suite w/ TV, deck access, King Bedroom w/TV, deck access, 2 additional queen bedrooms w/ TV, 2 full hall baths. 

Top Level: Living Room, w/ flat screen TV, DVD/Blue Ray Player, Stereo, gas fireplace (available off season) w/ card table (seats 4), half bath, dining area (seats 8), large kitchen island (5 bar stools), nice kitchen w/ large pantry. Wide deck space w/ gas grill.

Extras: Private (25'x10') Heated Pool, Private Hot Tub (6), C/AC & Heat, Washer/Dryer, ironing board & iron, 6 flat screen TVs, 1 Blue Ray/DVD, 1 Stereo, Wireless High-Speed Internet, Gas Fireplace (available mid-October to mid-May), Gas Grill, outside shower, basketball. No Smoking. Pets accepted w/$210 plus tax pet fee (2 dogs max). Weekly Rentals - Saturday to Saturday. MP 6.5. Off season mini-rentals may be accepted - please contact us to inquire about dates and pricing. 600 feet to the life guarded 3rd street beach access w/ cross walk on the "beach road". Excellent location and lovely house
We had 11 people and 2 dogs stay at this house for a week. Quick walk to beach, nice pool, excellent views from the decks. Management company communication was very good, would stay here again in the future.

Family vacation
Everything was great the only complaint is the pool furniture is very old and uncomfortable. One chair broke but the property manager just told us to set aside. Pool was warm and hot tub was awesome!!

Perfect Family Vacation House
The house was exactly as advertised. Perfect location only a block from the beach and close to all the fun Nags Head activities. Being able to bring you dog is a major plus. Would rent again!

Classic beach house
House was perfect for our family! It reminded me of houses I stayed in with family, growing up. It was perfectly clean, cozy, well stocked. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and playing pool with each other! It is also in a great location. Food lion is right across the road, lots of restaurants also. The beach is a very short walk. I’d definitely book this house again.

Property was perfectly situated for our purpose. It was clean and comfortable. Had all the essentials and check-in couldn't have been easier. (They were able to accommodate an early check-in too.). We got quick responses from the property manager. I would recommend staying here.

The house was very nice. Everyone enjoyed staying here. The rooms were clean. We were able to use the pool several times when it warmed up. We liked the layout of the house. The upstairs seating area had two sofas and several chairs which made it very comfortable.

September stay
Family from Maryland, Virginia, and Nebraska were able to stay together in this home for the occasion of my daughter’s wedding at the Sea Ranch Resort. Everything was clean, the kitchen well equipped, and the pool and hot tub were lovely. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms, the living room/kitchen and dining area was spacious and comfortable.

Great family house...and great location!
The Kay Dee Haus was great for my family. This was our first trip to the Outerbanks and the house was centrally located, walking distance to the beach and fit our needs. The pool was great for afternoons with the kids. The house was large enough for us (6 adults, 2 kids, 1 baby and 2 dogs). It was clean and promptly ready. We would rent here again!

Wonderful....Great House!
This house exceeded our expectations! Great floor plan for 6 adults, 1 baby & a dog. We had more than enough room for get togethers & privacy when needed. House is well designed .....baby was able to sleep when the adults were still up. Highly recommend this house!!!!

Nice House, Not Nice Location
House was great, had everything you could want, including a stocked kitchen with gently used items (nice change from the usual ☺). Hot tub, pool table, and pool were great, the pool furniture was too notch! Really great stuff and fun pool toys available. The owners really took care to make a stay there fun. Unfortunately, the location of the house wasn't as great. There are 2 houses within 10 feet of this house on both sides and you look directly onto their back decks. I didn't see this in the photos and I was very surprised. The biggest disappointment, though, was the huge hotel that blocked the view of the ocean. I can't say enough how disappointing the view was. Beach access was very close, which was great, but you have to walk passed the hotel garbage dumpsters to get to the beach. Very smelly and gross.

Wonderful family vacation
We stayed at Kaydee Haus for a week long vacation to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday. We had 8 adults and 2 dogs with more than enough space for all of us. The location was perfect - a 5 minute walk to the beach, grocery store, movies, etc. I started each day by taking the dogs for a walk on the beach and grabbing an outdoor breakfast at the Beachside Bistro (again, just 5 minutes away from the house). Kill Devil Hills' location in the heart of the Outer Banks made it easy for our crew to access a variety of activities - the boys golfed at Kilmarlic twice, we went charter fishing out of Manteo, we mini-golfed, we walked to a seafood happy hour at a restaurant next door to the grocery store, we hit up the Outer Banks Brewery for dinner, etc. That being said, we also spent a lot of time just hanging out at the house - we used the pool A TON!!! It was perfect when it was just too hot at midday for the beach. Having the downstairs refrigerator made it easy to run back and forth for drinks/eats without trekking up to the kitchen. We made several dinners at the house and found the kitchen extremely well-stocked to fit our cooking needs (pans, utensils, bakeware, etc). Additionally, the seating area in the living room made it easy for all 8 of us to sit comfortably around the tv to watch a movie or play one of the many board games supplied at the house. Alltold, a perfect place in a perfect location. Would definitely recommend.
