Listen to the pounding surf! One bedroom, Penthouse unit, full-on-OCEAN VIEW. This beach front unit is literally 50' from the ocean. This unit is on the ocean side with great cross-breezes and fantastic surrounding ocean views. This unit was hand-picked for its exceptional views by the wife of Sugar Beach resort's developer. New Tommy Bahama bedroom furniture with Cal King Ultra Pillow top mattress, 600 thread count sheets and bedding, plush bath towels, new 47 inch HD LED TV in living room and new sofa sleeper couch with a 7” mattress. Kitchen has been recently re-stocked with new appliances, new rice cooker, cookware, utensils, dishes, glasses, and more. Unit includes large sized stackable washer and dryer. Central A/C, fantastic Ocean and beach views down the coast of south Maui. Free hi-speed internet, Free parking and Free long distance to all of North America and Canada.

We supply our renters with some of the essentials that are costly to travel with or purchase in Hawaii. Bath items provided by us are laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, a bar of dove soap, blow drier, first aid kit, and 4 rolls of toilet paper. In the kitchen we stock spices, foil, plastic wrap, zip lock bags, trash bags, and dish soap among others. We provide vases for those beautiful Hawaiian flowers purchased roadside. A cooler, Beach towels and beach chairs are available for your use. We try to make your stay as easy, convenient and comfortable as possible.
The view across the ocean and down the south Maui coast is phenomenal while relaxing in our comfortable lanai love seat with your feet up on the ottoman. Sunsets are just amazing. Watch the water change from blue to pink even while you are cooking. It fills the room.
Sugar Beach is in an ideal spot. It is centrally located in the middle of Maui allowing for equal drive times to Wailea in south Maui or Lahaina in west Maui. It is the perfect location for somebody who wants to be on the water but wants to see all of Maui. Rest, Relax and enjoy Sugar Beach or wake up and head off to Hana or Haleakala National Park, the quaint town of Paia, or the Nakalele Blow Hole. You can see all of Maui with Sugar Beach as your starting point.
Sugar Beach Resort consists of two buildings, the Mill Building and Plantation Building. Sugar Beach #PH19 is located in the Mill Building. All condos are privately owned although for your convenience, there is a check in office on property with a receptionist where you will obtain your parking pass and pool codes.
Dina's Sandwich Shoppe is located on the grounds and is a great excuse to not cook. There is a gift shop, a Massage Therapist on site and Concierge/Activities Desk, as well.
We are located at the North end of Kihei on 5 miles of white sandy beach that is a wonderful walk in the morning to the bakery or afternoon for a Hawaiian Shaved Ice. Sugar Beach Resort is located at the base of the West Maui Mountains, right on the shore of beautiful Maalaea Bay. The resort is somewhat secluded, situated in between Kihei and the village of Maalaea. The location of the resort provides a perfect balance, offering oceanfront activities and atmosphere, as well as stunning views of both Haleakala and the West Maui Mountains.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped with a pool, Jacuzzi, dry sauna, putting green and gas BBQ's.

The Sugar Beach Resort grounds occupy about 3 acres of oceanfront real-estate in the middle of a long crescent of sandy beach on Maui's south shore. #PH19 has an ocean front view, with stunning vistas of the Pacific Ocean sunsets every evening.

Our fifth stay at Sugar Beach Resort. This unit was the best outfitted for our 2 weeks stay of all the unitss we've had at Sugar Beach. The grounds are well maintained, great pool. Away from crowds, yet ten minutes from resturants, groceries. The beach is lovely for walking and swimming.

Our stay in PH19 was great ! The condo was very clean and well equipped. The view was excellent. We could see whales from our balcony. The location was close to Kihei for dining out. Would recommend Sugar Beach Resort and this condo highly!

This was a great place for our honeymoon. Conveniently located between Lahaina and Wailea. Not far from airport. Pacific Whale Foundation just up the road, great whale watching excursion. Lots of great places to eat within reasonable distance. Plus the condo was super well stocked with all necessities. Really enjoyed our time there; clean, quiet, friendly and accommodating.

The condo was clean and well appointed. They had everything you didn’t know you needed. The view was wonderful and we were able to do a lot of whale watching from the lanai. The sunsets from the beach in front of the condo were beautiful.

My one complaint is that there were gnats all over the balcony. I could not go out and sit on the balcony like I wanted to because of this. That said, it's a very nice apartment and the view is spectacular.

Whale watching
Excellent location for whale watching tours, the aquarium and farmers market. Watched whales from our lanai, walked the beach and used the beautiful pool. I would love to come back for an outrigger canoe experience located right next door. Location couldn’t have been more perfect. The boardwalk in the wildlife refuge was amazing too. Great place for nature lovers 💕

The condo was outstanding, very well equipped with everything you need and more. The views from the top floor were fabulous.Being here in the middle of January we got to see whales everyday. This condo was simply perfect. We have stayed in many VRBO's and I have to say this one is at the top our list. The attention to detail, decor, supplies, and cleanliness were superb. The condo is stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location and view from the lanai can't be beat. So so beautiful. Mahalo for an amazing place to stay❤️

Amazing vacation!
The unit was clean and as described with views so beautiful we had trouble deciding whether to go out or just sit on the lanai and relax while watching the whales jump. Our departure flight was delayed by almost half a day, and the owners allowed us to stay late so we actually got to use the last day instead of sitting at the airport waiting. This is our fourth time to Maui and our favorite trip so far, would stay here again without question and will direct our friends and family to this unit as well!

Great Condo
We stayed 11/3-11/22. This condo was very clean and perfectly guest ready. Lots of quality supplies provided like soaps, shampoo, lotions, foil, wrap, dish and laundry soaps etc. Quality bedding and linens. Excellent view and location in resort. Loved the decor and vibe of this unit. Lots of families with kids dominating pool and beach area, so if you like an adult atmosphere be advised. We had several days of heavy winds making it hard to use pool and beach. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo for the early checkin.

Everything you could ask for and more!!!
We had such a wonderful time! The condo is really nice and that balcony has amazing views. We enjoyed eating numerous meals on the balcony while watching the waves. We even saw whales and sea turtles from the balcony. The condo is very clean and the bed is comfy! We had everything we needed. The closet with beach chairs was an extra bonus. All of the appliances are new and work great. Kitchen is fully stocked!! Fast response from the owner when asked a few questions which was great! Would definitely recommend 👌 Also, the location is perfect!! The beach was beautiful, clean, not crowded, and the central location made it easy to go everywhere on the island. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your condo! We will return!

Felt like home!
Our short stay in PH19 has come to an end and we are sad to go. The oceanfront lanai was perfect for coffee in the morning, sunset cocktails or late evening nightcaps. In addition to being beautifully decorated and maintained, the unit was well stocked with just about anything you needed for cooking, laundry, showering, and beach amenities (towels, umbrella, and chairs). It just felt like home! Any inquiries we made were answered promptly and to our satisfaction. Sugar Beach resort is located a short drive to local shops and restaurants in Kihei and Waimea. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this unit to others.

I felt like grounds were nice. Little farther out than I prefer so I might stay in other side of Kihei where there are more things by walk to and nicer accommodations. We were however disappointed to arrive at check in 4:00 to find the room had not been cleaned yet . We had to wait two hours to get in the condo . Thus resort is in the bay not along the ocean front so whale watching was not as good as I’d hoped . We paid 500 a night I think that was too much and you could find a nicer place elsewhere

Beautiful Property
The unit was wonderful. Had daily whale shows from the balcony. Good location away from the bustle of Kihei. Beautiful beach. Turned out though, that the pool was closed for four days vs the two that we were notified of. Resealing of the deck usually done in September, but instead, January. Had counted on some down time poolside, but we did other things instead.

Beautiful View @ Convenient Location
The condo was beautifully decorated with an absolutely beautiful view. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed someplace as well stocked as this place. They had beach chairs, towels, an umbrella and even a cooler to use. The location was very convenient to go south into Kihei, across the island to Paia to start the Road to Hana and to the north to Lahaina. We definitely maximized our time with staying in the middle. Not a lot of close restaurants to walk to, but everything was within a couple minute drive. We had a wonderful time!

Best trip EVER!
We went to Maui to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. This condo was a 10/10! We loved everything. Sitting on the lounge chairs by the beach and ending the day on the lanai was heaven! We did the Road to Hana, Haleakala, Iao National Park and more. The condo had everything! A small cooler to take to the beach, beach chairs, beach towels and even sunscreen! You have thought of everything. We would love to come back someday.

The most beautiful place to stay!
Absolutely the best place we have stayed. It was styled so beautifully we fell in love with the condo immediately. The view to the ocean from the minute you open the door is what you dream about. The bed was so comfortable the only reason you would want to get out of it was to keep from missing any moment of Maui! James & Lori thought of every need you can imagine. They supplied soap, shampoo, towels, beach chairs, binoculars, beach towels, washer/dryer & detergent, paper towels, baggies, pen/paper, seasonings, cookware, fans, and even a sound machine that had waves crashing! When we got home we talked about the fact there was nothing that could have been added to our condo to make it any more enjoyable.

A beautifully decorated well cared for condo
We rented this condo for two weeks in Feb. 2022. Dealing with the owners was very easy & efficient but the management company was less professional & more scattered. The condo is beautifully decorated, well cared for & very quiet. The kitchen was supplied with all the utensils we needed to make meals. The linens on the bed were lovely & we appreciated the shampoo, conditioner & toilet paper in the bathroom. We loved the location of the condo on Sugar Beach. We walked the beach, swam in the ocean & watched whales breaching & the infamous Maui sunset from our lanai. There is a lovely bakery & an ABC store within walking distance. The grounds of the resort are immaculate as is the pool & hot tub. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked three weeks next Feb.

Maui Wannabies
The condo is well provisioned, however, the furniture somewhat dated. We were disappointed the couch did not turn into a bed since we prefer to fall asleep listening to the waves. We are not sure how this condo could sleep 4 without a hideaway. The PH description is a little misnomer as the unit is no different than any of the other 5 floors which if you take into consideration the elevators were not in operation half the time, the 6th floor (PH) becomes a disadvantage other than the view.

Perfect in every way!!!
We spent a week in this beautiful condo and cannot explain how great it was in words...because it was all about the view and the atmosphere. When you walk in, all you see is ocean, palm trees and sky!!! You hear the waves, and can hardly believe you are staying so close to this amazing beach!! The owners have gone to great lengths to make their condo beautifully decorated, organized and comfortable. You will feel as though you are staying at a beach house from a magazine! There isn't anything I would change, and it has inspired me to decorate our cottage...on the Atlantic Ocean....with some artwork. The check-in process was a breeze and we like the App for my iPad that sent great information and then our pass code for the door before we arrived. Without hesitation We can recommend this condo to anyone wanting to stay in Maui. Thanks to the owners who have taken renting out their condo seriously, and made it first class in every way.
