Paradise!
This was such a wonderful place to stay at! Great price for an oceanfront room, convenient location, nicely remodeled and decorated. Since we were traveling with a toddler we liked the convenience of being able to park right in front of our room and having a fully stocked kitchen. We were on the first floor and could walk straight out from our patio to the grassy area and the beautiful beach! What a treat to be so close to the ocean and see it while in the kitchen or living room! It was nice to stay at such a laid back place that wasn’t packed with tourists. Several times we were the only ones on the beach! The on-site manager was very friendly. Only downsides were that the air conditioner and dishwasher weren’t very effective, but this didn’t take away from everything else this place has to offer. Will definitely want to stay here again!

Great location... AC was not performing up to par
The location was perfect!!! The condo it self was great except the AC needs to be replaced we was in room 202 and the front room and kitchen area was cooled by the AC the bedroom was torture....I repeat torture. we had to move the mattress from the bedroom into the living room floor on the 4th night because I started getting sick because of the heat. I will say this the agency that is in charge of these condos is amazing when i complained the first night of the heat n the bedroom they had someone bring us a fan but the fan did not help at all. I spoke with others regarding the AC issue and it seems it is an issue in several of the condos therefor I would not book here again.

This room serves one purpose, survival. Next time I'll pay the few extra bucks for something a little nicer, comfortable. A/C cools the living area, but listening to the TV and talking with friends was a little difficult. The A/C may also cause issues for people tinnitus. The bedroom was nice and is usually cool enough to sleep in a couple of hours after dark. Fortunately, I'm not an afternoon napper. I'm fairly certain the units were built in 50's or 60's era. If you like nostalgic type living quarters these units will work. The updated bath was nice looking even with the jungle-like humidity. Make sure you LOCK your car doors, don't forget.

I still have confusion if we should have washed towels and sheets before leaving. There was glass on bathroom floor we stepped on and cut foot (we pay cleaning fee and should have been cleaned before we got there). The TV instructions say to click on an app that wasn’t there. Never got TV to work without being concerned of a charge. Overall, the property was excellent. I would use again.

Amazing views from 2nd floor and my unit! The unit had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Many local grocery stores and restaurants nearby. A few bars in walking distance as well.

View was worth it, didn’t sleep much.
The location was fantastic, could not get any better than being 100feet from the water with the waves crashing at night. Downfall is the AC’s are loud and in the living room only. The bed on the ‘bedroom’ is like sleeping on a plywood board as for comfort. The pull out couch is clearly overused and is in need of replacing. The couch mattress has springs that are pushing into your side. Still more comfortable than the bed. The place just needs to be updated. I guess that’s why I paid what I paid. I wasn’t paying for a renovation. Need Ductless units in the condos rather than those rattle cans they have for AC.

Beautiful property! Nice accommodations and loved being right on the beach! It was very nice to have a washer and dryer available also! Within walking distance to grocery store & many restaurants! I would definitely recommend Hale Kai O Kihei to anyone planning a trip to Maui!!

I stayed in room 101. It looked like a fairly outdated room that recently had the shower remodeled. The room was definitely showing its age. The screens on the windows were broken, mirrors on the closet were cracked and sealant in the bathroom was cracking and in need of replacement. The bed room was located on the mauka side of the property so it received the morning light and got the hottest throughout the day. This combined with the fact that the overhead fans very high setting was more like very low made sleeping there an unpleasant experience. Even with the windows above the bed open, which made the noise from the stairwell crystal clear, it was still hot. My girlfriend and I ended up sleeping in the living room because the living room was the only place with an ac. Also I believe the bed was a double, not even queen. This isn't a huge deal for me since i'm only 5'9" but if you're much taller I can see it being uncomfortable. Now that the bad things are out of the way, the room was more suited to a long term vacation. It's a very spacious room with lots of closet space, etc. It also comes with toaster, oven, fridge and freezer, and tons of plates. This is great, but we couldn't use it much because we only stayed the weekend. The room has cable and dedicated wifi, but surprisingly the wifi signal was weak in the bedroom despite being a 25 foot clear shot from the router. It also has a convertible sofa in the living room so it can actually sleep 4 to 5.
