This cozy, two-bedroom townhome is located at Trapper's Crossing in an enchanting East Keystone neighborhood nestled at the base of Independence Mountain, just 5 minutes from Dercum Mountain and The River Run Gondola and Village. A friendly neighborhood nook that will accommodate 6, this unit has a warming charm for those cold mountain nights with family or friends. Curl up beside the gas fireplace for a board game or settle in for a movie with the crackling fire as your soundtrack. 

This condo has a spacious, mountain-inspired living room, a washer and dryer, a beautiful fireplace, and a back patio with private entrance. You will also enjoy the use of River Run's pool and hot tub facilities.

With parking feet away from your doorstep and a spacious ski locker adjacent to your front door, the effort of lugging and storing your equipment after an energetic day on Keystone’s three mountains is kept to a minimum. Good news: The location of this unit is divine, situated at the end of a road, surrounded by trees, and there is a creek that flows nearby. It was a very quiet location during our stay in July. Not-so-good news: I have a policy of ensuring the owner/manager of the property is contacted prior to posting any negative feedback. Unfortunately, the issues I raised with the Keystone Resort staff (on site property management) were pushed off on the ‘owner’ and the owner, represented by a third party (Red Awning), pointed the responsibility back to the Resort. This is an unfortunate lack-of-responsibility loop that could impact your stay. First, the listing states that parking is available, but fails to note Keystone Resorts restricts parking to only ONE vehicle. With ample parking space available at the unit, we were told we had to utilize an overflow parking lot for a second vehicle. A very welcome surprise. Second, it wasn’t until 11pm that we learned there was no bedding (sheets or blankets) available for the sofa bed. We paid a higher rate to add a 5th adult to our reservation and that person was left without any sleeping accommodations. It was not viable to rectify the situation at that time of the night and all we got for the inconvenience and added cost was an apology. Finally, there was an issue with some cleanliness in the bathroom, however, the Resort management did react and suggested they would look in to that. Too bad they didn’t do that before we checked-in.

Very tired property. Toilet handle broken but they quickly fixes it. Bathroom towel rack in second bathroom fell off the wall. The worst part was they resurfaced the parking lot and paths to the doors with asphalt for two of the days we were there. Couldn’t sit on our patio or open our windows . The smell was awful. These units are not air conditioned and it gets very hot without the windows open. Also had to park a block from the unit.

Great Setting
We enjoyed the setting of this condo. We did have some issues with communication with the property management company. It took 3 different calls to just determine if an early check in was even possible. The last night of our stay the heating system stopped working, so we left earlier than planned because the condo was so cold, altering our skiing plans. The property management company was contacted about the issue and I am still waiting on a response. Lastly, Vail Resorts is the property manager. This would have been nice to know when booking, so we could have possibly used our EPIC Pass discount for the reservation.

No showers!
The showers were NOT working and only one bathtub had a working plug. 4 people and one tub was not the relaxing weekend we expected. We called the property manager who couldn’t fix it and promised to come back the next day. If they did, they did not fix the problem. We ended up leaving our last night instead of staying until morning so we could go home and shower.

May snow storm
Cozy, comfortable, easy access to trails and quiet, this property is well taken care of and has everything you need. The hot tub was perfect and the walkways were cleared of 2 unexpected feet of snow by 10am❤️ we will definitely return! Thank you for sharing your piece of mountain paradise with us, retired couple with adult daughter and pug. Very pet friendly environment.

Great condo for dog owners
The condo was clean and in a good condition overall. Very convenient for dogs. Nature trail is nearby. The only minor downsides were the lack of a kettle to boil water for tea, semi-functional Kerug coffee maker, and the shower control in one of the bedrooms was not working well. Otherwise, a very nice condo.

Beautiful and Quiet
Keystone is my favorite, because it's sleepy and quiet, but still close to so much. The property was super clean, considering it is dog friendly, this is a miracle in and of itself! My only constructive criticism is, as a cook, they are lacking basic cooking utensils, and didn't even have salt and pepper (the shakers were empty and decorative?). In all the VRBO's I have rented, this was a first for me. Keystone management company brought some out, and some coffee filters, so it was rectified. But that took a while, too. Overall though, beds were comfy, it was scenic and beautiful, and I will definitely be back!

Very nice accommodations
The place was clean, especially for a pet friendly rental. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with more than the basics- that makes a big difference to me. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck with all of the hummingbirds around!

Great Location
Overall we had a great time. The property was clean and in a great location, however the listing says that this property has air conditioning and we found out that it does not. Called the property management company and they said that they have no control over what Vrbo puts on the listing, but did not offer a solution. We had two toddlers with us so this was important to us when booking during the summer. Thankfully it ended up being cool enough in the evenings and at night to open the windows and be comfortable.

Great place, very clean
We really enjoyed our stay here. Good location, on shuttle route to slopes and nice walking/nature path nearby. Would give five starts but upstairs neighbors were very loud early in the morning and there weren’t a lot of dishes and utensils for cooking in unit. Otherwise very nice stay and we will likely stay again.

Property listing inaccurate. Unit very Ill-equipped, multiple things broken.
The unit that we were placed in was NOT the one I rented online. The kitchen finishes were completely different, the furniture different, we were supposed to have a king bed and did not, the kitchen was very ill equipped with minimal pots and pans. No frying pan. Very limited glasses and silverware. Outdoor area not at all what was pictured. Back door lock broken. Grill starter broken. Upon checkout the property manager confirmed that we were moved to another unit but we were never informed of this ahead of time, nor was any explanation given. We would have canceled if we had known.

A very nice rental - comfortable, clean, good beds, enough in the kitchen to prepare simple meals. Very quiet location. Had dinner at Ski Tip Lodge - highly recommend but usually requires advance reservation.

Awesome Property
This was exactly what we were looking for. The property was very secluded, yet close enough to the village for a short drive. There were no blankets (that we could find), but that was about the only negative of the whole place. 5/5 would recommend to anyone looking for a similar dog friendly stay!
