We are Backroads Inn and Cabins. Our property lies in Echo Valley. 8 acres surrounded by National Forest. We are the essence of the Black Hills, yet minutes away from everything people come to see, like Mt Rushmore (2.4 miles) and Custer State Park (15 minutes).

This cozy, one-room cabin is set apart from the others, tucked away amidst the pine trees. Its queen-sized bed, fold-out chair (twin) and twin-sized day bed in the front sun porch make ideal for a small family or a couple's get-away.  With a small (but full) kitchen, gas grill and private fire pit, you'll have everything you need.

Get away in the woods
Perfect base location while in Black Hills in SD. We spent three days all packed with outdoor hiking and adventuring. Nice to come back to a quiet, clean, and relaxing cabin for evening.

Clean & cozy and close to everything
We really enjoyed our two night stay with our two kids (12 & 9). We only wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was the perfect size for us; it was clean and super cute. My kids loved the s’more’s kit provided by the owners and I appreciated the ground coffee for the coffeemaker. The grounds were lovely and just a short 15 minute drive from Mount Rushmore. Highly recommend!

The property was wonderful and we would definitely recommend to others!
The cabin and grounds were well kept. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean! My only complaint was the internet service. I know, we were staying in a cabin, but would have been nice to be able to watch a movie in the eveings.

Best family vacation so far! This little cabin was perfect for my husband, our 2 year old and our 4 year old. It was cozy and serene and the kids had so much fun at all the local attractions!

Family Friendly Location
The smores package was great to have for us to use by the fire pit. We have no complaints. Great location, we brought motorcycle by trailer and had a great time. Your in the middle of all the attractions and it was a quiet place. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

Fun little stay
We had a wonderful time in bluebird! The cabin was set away from the others a bit, close enough but on its own. It was small, but great for us. A bed in the main room and then a cute little sunroom with a twin size bed and a loveseat. Our 3 year old slept like a baby on the loveseat, our 6 year old on the twin size and us on the bed. Cozy and comfortable stay. The cabin was nicely decorated and clean. We found old branches and tree brush on our nature hikes for fires at night. The cabins were set back from keystone but a short drive away. Keystone was a cute little town. Saw lots of deer and even some turkeys right by our place!
