We are Backroads Inn and Cabins. Our property lies in Echo Valley. 8 acres surrounded by National Forest. We are the essence of the Black Hills, yet minutes away from everything people come to see, like Mt Rushmore (2.4 miles) and Custer State Park (15 minutes).

Ideal for the romantic get-away.  This one-room cabin sits apart from the others tucked in the midst of pine trees.  Inside there is a king-sized bed in the main room and a twin-sized bed in the front sun nook.  There is a twin-size sleeping mat as well.  With a small kitchen (but full), gas grill and private fire pit, there is everything you'll need for your time away.  Plus, you'll be able to truly relax in the antique soaking tub in the bathroom (walk-in shower as well). Perfect size for a couple or small family.

Cute cabin in a great location
This cabin is great for a romantic getaway- just like the advertisement states. It is hardly any gravel (other than the driveway) and is easy to get to. The only confusion we had upon arriving was which cabin was the correct cabin to try to get into- we went based off of (what we assume was) the "main" address/the directions given to us in the email- which led us to the largest cabin right at the entrance, which was not correct. We eventually figured it out without having to make any phone calls! The cabins are clean but do have some holes in the windows that allow bugs in. Other than this- we were comfortable and loved our stay! Thanks for having us!

Peaceful Cabin in the woods
This cabin was as described and more. The location is awesome and private yet only minutes from Mt. Rushmore and lots of restaurants and shopping. The bed was very comfortable and I felt right at home— highly recommend!

Good location. Loved the deer around the property. The WiFi was horrible! When we wanted to unwind at night and watch tv, the signal was going in and out- we finally gave up! Kept disconnecting on phone as well. The bathroom is extremely small- no need for a tub. Would have been nice to have a bigger counter by sink and a bigger shower. The toilet was horrible. It felt like it was going to rip right out of floor and would wobble and rock when you were sitting on it. Upon arrival, was a bug in the bed too. What appeared to be a dead spider fell out of one of the towels as well. With that being said, I would not recommend.

Perfect Little Getaway in the Woods
We had a fabulous time in the Hugo cabin. It was perfect size for the two. It was so quiet and peaceful in the woods, but not too far from the sites and civilization. We enjoyed seeing deer and turkey from the little sitting area outside, and roasting marshmallows in the evening around the firepit. It was less than 10 minutes away from Mt Rushmore. The little town of Keystone was a fun area to walk around and eat a casual dinner. I highly recommend this fun little cabin!

Hugo cabin was perfect for the two of us! The bed was the best ever!! Plenty of hot water for the long showers after walking and seeing everything. Steps may be an issue for people with mobility issues, but we did just fine. Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin!!

Exceeded Expectations
We were so pleasantly surprised by this property. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I booked it because of it's proximity to the Main Street of Keystone. It's very close, yet is also remote. We loved the camp fire and the best surprise was that the host left the makings for S'mores!!! We felt like we were camping! I did cook dinner one night in the cabin and had plenty of kitchen supplies for cutting and cooking.

We love the Blackhills
The location of the property to towns and activities is perfect. You are staying in the hills yet you don't have to drive an hour to do things. The property itself was very clean and picked up. The cabins are nicely spaced apart. The pool was a nice addition for the littles. There was a couple of maintenance things in the cabin that really could use attention. And I know from reading other reviews that these things are not new. The toilet is not attached to the floor well at all, it rocks all over every time you sit. The faucet handle in the bathroom is not attached and come off every time you try to use it unless you are very careful. The cabin was so-so clean when we arrived. There were crumbs on the counter and floor. The cabin is well equipped to be able to make food. Oh yeah, the outside grill. We straight up had a grease fire the first night in the grill. No one had ever cleaned out the grease tray. The grill was up against the cabin. If we had not been attentive, that situation could have been very bad. Cleaning the grill should be part of regular maintenace of the cabins.

Great getaway
We had a great time at this little cabin in the woods. It is far enough away from neighboring cabins, but not so far that you won't be able to hear them. If you're looking to be absolutely secluded, this is not the place. It was a little comforting having others not far away though! The room was the perfect size for 2, with little to no room to spare for another adult guest, even though there is another bed. The property was super clean when we arrived and the check-in process was a breeze. Two negative points: the toilet was loose when we arrived, so whenever we sat on it it moved forward. We could have contacted the owners but didn't since it wasn't a big deal, but maybe this should be checked in the future. Other negative point is the fire pit on site was very weirdly constructed in a way that made it hard to use. We could not get a very good fire going while we were there, so maybe look into purchasing a more traditional pit! Other than that, this place was great :)
