SUZY'S PARROT PERCH is a charming apartment that is located in the heart of Old Town on the corner of two historic streets (Whitehead and Virginia) just steps from Duval and two blocks from the Southernmost Point. You couldn't be any closer to the nightlife and attractions on Duval Street (Flamingo Crossing, the famous homemade Key West ice cream parlor, is just around the corner, La Te Da is a block away), and yet this cozy 795 square foot condo is perched on the second floor of a two-story building, with its own quiet balcony away from the hustle and bustle.

THE PORCH...

Through a quaint gate off of Whitehead Street, you will climb an outdoor staircase hidden from the street by tropical foliage. At the top you'll find an outdoor porch area overlooking Virginia Street, and down the lane, Duval Street. From this viewpoint, it's obvious how this Parrot Perch got its name. This home is equipped with comfortable patio furniture for enjoying happy hour while doing some people watching from above.

THE LIVING AREA...

The first thing you'll notice as you open the front door of SUZY'S PARROT PERCH is the openness of the living area. As you enter the apartment, you'll be greeted with a comfortable living room area with plush couches and a flat screen TV. One couch pulls out to a Queen sized sofa sleeper to sleep 2 extra guests. From the living area couches, you can peer out the window and see the treetops across Virginia Street.

THE KITCHEN...

Behind the living area, the open kitchen is fully equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, including a modern LG refrigerator with lower freezer for easy accessibility. The kitchen is also equipped with an electric stove, oven, and a dishwasher for easy clean up after meals. The kitchen area also has a high-top table and barstool seating for four. There's even a sound system to set the mood while having dinner.

THE ACCOMMODATIONS...

• Master Bedroom: King bed, full closet, flat screen TV, and a private porch.

• Second Bedroom: Full bed and flat screen TV.

The shared hall bathroom has a walk-in shower.

The property is in a great area to do a walkable exploration of old town Key West. Our accommodations were upstairs. The stairs do need a bit of maintenance, but overall the stay was a very good experience.

We loved our stay in Key West. The rental was very clean, had everything we needed. We loved have the beach chairs available and the key lime pie when we arrived. The location was perfect for walking to the close by beach, parking and dining. Check in was very easy and the bed was extremely comfortable! Thanks for a great stay!

Adorable and very clean
Loved the location, just one block off of Duval. Very close to Hemingway's house and the Southern most point. My husband and I stayed there and loved it! They even decorated it for the special occasions that we were celebrating :)

Located 1 block from Duval on the southern end of the street. Easy walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. Nice and quiet. Plenty of room for 4 people. Kitchen well equipped however I suspect you wont be using it. Good value for the money in Key West

Our first impressions was, oh, how cute and clean. Upon more looking around the unit had all you would need and then some. They goodies you left was very nice. Thank you. This unit was perfect for location, we could walk anywhere. We would stay here again. All the little touches in the finish work was noticed and made the place nice, crisp and clean. Very nice, clean and great location. Kitchen was well stocked (bonus of a Key Lime pie left in the refrigerator for us to enjoy) The only downside was the number of stairs (16) to climb to reach the condo but knew that at the time of booking my reservation. Enjoyed our stay.

Location location location!
This property was perfect for 4 adults. It is located up a set of steep stairs that can be slippery with the rain and there is no dedicated parking but no car is needed. This property is in the heart of where you want to be in Key West and everything is very walkable. I felt safe and secure, the unit was very clean and comfortable and the concierge/host was beyond attentive and wonderful. I would highly recommend this property and will stay here again!

Location was perfect for us for walking and biking to all of the attractions. Condo was perfectly appointed with all the amenities one would need for a short or extended stay. Very nicely decorated. Only minor issues were where to park (which we did in front of the shops on Whitehead) & the odor of mold/mildew in the condo.

Pretty quiet. Extra stairs inside. Big bedroom and small one. Good for us breakfast places very close, sheets towels clean. Downside for one of us was the outside stairs.

Great location, Quiet top floor unit
The unit is located within walking distance of the Southern Most Point, Hemingway House, Duval street, Butterfly Conservatory, and much more. There’s a free Duval loop shuttle stop (stop #9) right across the street from the unit. The unit was well furnished and clean. We did not hear our downstairs neighbors at all. Christian, our host contact, did a fabulous job making sure everything was ok. We would definitely stay here again
