Brenda and Frank’s rental home exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail and their visitor’s needs were extraordinary!
Beautifully appointed decor embraced us, with a feeling of a coastal retreat as soon as we stepped in the door to see a beach bar (built off the kitchen/dining area), with a margarita machine, beautiful blue glasses and a pitcher waiting.
Every detail in the bedrooms, showed us that their guests comfort was a priority - from the nightstands with phone chargers, serene decor, quality mattresses, crisp white sheets, comforters and lots of extra pillows.
The kitchen also fulfilled all of our needs. It was a large tiled area with an island, pantry closet, refrigerator with ice maker, air fryer, regular coffee pot and a Keurig, glass cooktop, built in microwave and oven. Everything we needed; including a stocked coffee station, cookware, basic cooking ingredients/oils/spices and essential electric wine opener.
We loved the large ceramic coffee cups, dishes, various appetizer trays and large platters, since we always ate outside under the tiki hut.
Speaking of the tiki hut, this was our ambience spot 99% of the time we were at the home. It was along the canal, lit with string lights, fun decor/signs, ceiling fan, gas grill, a dining table and cushioned chairs and a big screen tv …what more could you wish for in this waterside retreat. Many peaceful mornings drinking coffee and rambunctious evening hours with friends and family were spent here - dining, drinking, playing board games, viewing movies on the lounge chairs (all six tvs at this home, Yes 6, have fire sticks for Netflix access) ending the day here with the sunset cocktail.
Now as a final to, I can’t believe all the amenities … I was told I had to mention this, by the guys - there is a bait boat, yes up north we have ice cream trucks, apparently in paradise you have a boat that delivers bait in the mornings along the canal and as told to mention this, by the gals - Chris, the bait guy is one attractive sight in the morning too!
Thank you Brenda and Frank for your hospitality and your local attractions/dining suggestions.
Yes, Our favorite was Alabama Jacks, the conch fritters were delish! We also did outings to Key West, Annie’s beach (highly recommend), Harry Harris Park, Founders Park, Robbie’s to feed the tarpons and the glass bottom boat tour at John Pennekamp Coral Park.
Many amazing March memories
We will be back!
