Kawama Community
* Kawama Tower is 1 mile from busy US1, making ours a quiet and far-removed corner of the Keys away from the noise of drive-by traffic, yet a short walk to vibrant local restaurants and bars.
* John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park surrounds us to the East and South, The lagoons of Rock Harbor lie immediately to the West.
*The 20 acre Kawama Community has 24/7 Gated Security ensuring privacy for guests.
*Beach Front in Key Largo : the waterfront is as pictured and is landscaped with mature breezy Palm Trees. The 200 yard long beach areas feature palm thatched Tikki Shelters : Sun- Loungers & Chairs : Walkways into the Ocean. : Snorkelling is available from the shore around the rocks and jetty ; please ask us about equipment.
* Beach Front Barbecues, Fire-pit’s for a log fire under the stars, and additional Barbecue facilities around the South Pool and Big Tikki make ours the ideal venue for family ‘cook-outs’ by the Ocean or the Lagoon under the stars.
* Jetty / Sunset Pier extends a further 200 yards out into the Ocean and is the venue for the daily Sunset meeting ritual as well as a great venue for fishing. We provide some fishing poles and lots of information on request.
*Two Amazing Tiled Swimming Pools : heated in winter, cooled in summer.
* Tidal Saltwater Lagoon, features swimming platforms for the Kids and Tropical Fish to feed with a box of cat food and to snorkel with.
*Beautiful maintained tropical Gardens. The dedicated community maintenance team keep everything beautiful and replanted with tropical flowering shrubs and trees and the public areas clean and tidy.
* Walking/Jogging trails around the 20 acre community.

*Parking is close to the Kawama Tower building.(As with most of the Tower properties, you can also see car parking spaces, and roofs of buildings from within).

Kawama Tower 406….
* Uniquely spacious at approx.1325 square feet in an open plan layout, all on one level, and elevator accessed, the ‘Living is Easy’. Again much bigger than nearly all similar 2+2 condos, infinitely nicer than Hotels and Condotels.
* We enjoy an elevated 4th Floor Aspect. Our balcony provides views of the Ocean Turquoise through palm trees as you look east and to the west we overlook Rock Harbor lagoons. Most of the year, except for the shortest days, we enjoy spectacular sunsets and sunrises right off the balcony or you can sit down on the waterfront just a few footsteps away and drink in the daily celestial show to the lap of the waves.
* Our home is tiled throughout for cleanliness and equipped with full Central Air-conditioning.
* Furnishing Highlights include Natuzzi leather sofas, 65 inch swivel mounted Smart TV, themes of the Coral Reef with original artworks and tropical décor.
* Private dedicated ‘super-fast’ wi-fi internet access is included. Public community areas have an open access network.
* Everything within has been remodelled in recent times and is maintained regularly. Most recently, we installed an all new Kitchen featuring beautiful ergonomically designed quartz countertops and classic white cabinets with the latest styled fixtures and fittings including 30 inch Stainless steel sink and spray faucet and lots of ancillary small and large gadgets and appliances. Enjoy drinks at the bar seats or on the Balcony with a good array of cocktail glasses for your very own Happy Hour !
* Dining Table with comfortable contoured seating for a family meal.
* 2 Huge Bedrooms, both En-Suite, Walk-in Cupboards for hanging clothes and storage. Master features Queen Bed + Posture-Comfort hybrid mattress. Plus an En-Suite Bathroom with walk in double shower.
* Family Bedroom #2 has 2 x Full Size / Double beds again fitted with Posture-Comfort hybrid mattress on each bed. Bedroom 2 has a 40inch Smart TV. Plus En-suite Bathroom with shower over bath.
* We provide a luxury foldaway CRIB and HIGH-CHAIR with bedding for families with little people.
* Luxury grade soft furnishings, bedding, sheets, towels and throws.
* Dedicated laundry room with S.S. high capacity washer dryer appliances..
* The property is maintained to high standards and we renew many soft furnishings twice a year brand new, we re-decorate as necessary on a cycle and replace major furnishings on a structured cycle. Again, we approach the property each year with a view to ensure everything is always fresh and new or nearly new.
* Elevator access and ramped walkways from parking and between on site amenities to Kawama Tower.
* Top-notch hygiene and safety measures for your peace of mind, we have retained most of the standards we operated too during the height of the pandemic.
* There are also folding seats, an umbrella, beach towels and coolers for taking on excursion days. Everything has been thoughtfully appointed for an enjoyable vacation experience...
* One negative I’ll mention is that we sometimes experience seaweed accumulations if it’s been windy out of the east. The community does have periodic clean-ups. That said, if we have it, so does everywhere else in the Keys !
#3 WHY THE KEYS ?
National Geographic describes the Keys as the most beautiful and greatest of scenic places to visit on Earth. Tropical scenery and diverse water based activities are the focus for most visitors.
The Florida Keys are home to a myriad of wild animals and we are a conservation destination with more than a dozen National and State parks including the Everglades and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park to adventure into.
Excellent fishing is available from the docks, beaches and bridges, whilst boating, swimming, kite surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, water skiing, jet skiing, snorkelling, scuba diving and sailing are a simply a way of life that visitors are able to join in with.
PRIVACY DECLARATION Please note in accordance with Expedia's and VRBO’s privacy declaration ; The Community Pools have safety cameras which oversight the decks and pools linked to the community Security Office. Staff make patrols of the grounds / marina and public access areas on a hourly basis to monitor weather and tidal factors that may affect guest safety and compliance with local laws and regulations. We as the owners also have 'one' actively recording camera overlooking the front door access which records video and audio. There are no internal devices, and the single Ring device is on the exterior of the property.
