Rose Bank Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 5 guests in 3 bedrooms

The lounge has windows to the front and patio doors to the back allowing lots of light into the lounge and dining areas. The lounge has patio doors leading to the patio and garden areas where you can sit and enjoy the lovely Lakeland views.

The kitchen has electric oven & gas hob, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. There is also a breakfast table and chairs. From the kitchen there is a small utility/drying area with a washer/dryer and space for coats and boots.

The main bathroom is on the ground floor and has bath, WC and wash hand basin and is decorated in Laura Ashley prints.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The twin bedroom has two single beds, wardrobes, drawers etc. and also has an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobes and cupboards and the third bedroom has a single bed, wardrobe, drawers etc and views towards Skiddaw. All rooms are dressed in luxury linen and towels.

There is private parking on the driveway, and a large garden with patio furniture to the back of the cottage. The garden is very private and backs onto fields and fells. This is a perfect place to get away from town but yet be within easy walking to the shop, local restaurant and pubs which all serve food.

Lovely spacious cottage in great location
This is a lovely cottage in a great location. Braithwaite is a lovely village with a great village shop on the doorstep (fresh bread, cakes and a little tea shop) and friendly pubs. You can walk or cycle from the door and never need to use the car all week. The bus service is also good. The cottage is comfortable, warm and lots of space to store muddy clothes and bikes. The owners were really friendly and helpful and left lots of useful bits and pieces. There is parking outside for two medium sized cars, any bigger and you'd need to park the second in the village which is a few minutes walk. We would definitely return here.

Beautiful location and a perfect place to get away from it all, cottage was clean and well provisioned, wood burner was a welcome addition and needed after some long walks. Great for a short break.

Cosy cottage with fabulous views.
Rose Bank Cottage is cosy and welcoming. We stayed for a week at Easter and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a roast dinner. The back garden was lovely, with stunning views of the fells and the cottage itself is only a short walk to the centre of the village with all its amenities. A lovely place to stay!

Rose Bank Cottage
Caution needed on exiting car onto the narrow, busy Newlands Road. Cottage a delight - spotlessly clean, compact, well equipped, comfortable and warm. Owners, next door, very helpful. Enjoyed the week so much that I have re-booked for 2024.

Comfortable Cottage with Fabulous Outlook
Just home from a wonderful week of gorgeous weather in the Lake District. And what better place to spend it than Rose Bank Cottage in Braithwaite! This is a lovely, comfortable cottage, beautifully presented with a fabulous outlook onto farmland and fells. Inside the cottage is well equipped with everything you might need but our favourite part is the back garden: relaxing out there morning and evening makes a perfect topping to our walking holiday.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area
A lovely cottage with great views and everything we needed for your stay. We didn't book until the day before but everything was ready for us (thank you), other than the tablet with guest instructions which had gone flat but soon came up and is a great idea - much better than bits of paper. The cottage is well-equipped, everything worked and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Braithwaite village shop is a short walk away. With great walks from the door but still close enough to Keswick, the Cumbrian coast and northern / western lakes there is really nothing to dislike here. Hugely recommended and hoping to visit again.

Another lovely stay at Rose Bank
Rose Bank is a beautiful cottage, very well presented and as comfortable as it at first appears. The gorgeous back garden overlooking the fields and the fells completes the idyllic picture. As frequent holiday residents of Rose Bank we might start to take these things for granted but I will never cease to appreciate the little things about this holiday cottage that make it such a comfortable stay. From spare loo roll to immediate hot water regardless of how many showers required to an oven so incredibly clean it's amazing! Then there's reliable Wi-Fi and TV and books and jigsaws etc. This cottage is so well equipped the owners seem to have thought of everything to make for a very pleasant, enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

Easter at Rose Bank
We booked Rose Bank Cottage for a family of 4 adults and a dog to walk some more Wainwrights. Braithwaite was an excellent location to access the fells and also close to Keswick for shops and amenities when not walking. The cottage is lovely, very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The garden was excellent for the dog and we had visits from pheasants, squirrels and a harvest mouse accessing the bird table. 2 pubs and a cafe in the village provide good meals and access to some lovely, scenic, shorter walks on public footpaths and bridleways. We would definitely recommend and will re-visit when we can. This is the second time we've booked with Keswick Cottages and both houses we've stayed in have been very good.

Great property in an excellent location
This was our fifth stay at Rose Bank; it is a very convenient property in an excellent location. We will book again. Their is all the equipment you will need and it works well. Excellent enclosed garden for sitting out and for dogs. Good pubs and shop in the village, which is an excelelnt route centre. Plenty of walks from the door. Generally very comfortable, although the seating is beginning to get tired. Two points of caution - the stairs are steep with a tight turn and narrow bottom step so require care - care is required getting on nad off the drive onto the Newlands road as visibility is restricted. This won't put us off visiting again

Christmas At Rose Bank Cottage
Rose Bank Cottage was everything we expected it to be, it didn't disappoint. We know Keswick very well and have been coming here for years but this year we wanted something a bit more magical as it was Christmas. Set in the beautiful village of Braithwaite the location was perfect for us enjoying the local walks from the cottage with our family and dog who had the best walks ever. We made use of the two pubs in the village eating at both, we found them both to be very friendly. The village looked lovely with all the Christmas lights, It really felt like Christmas! The cottage itself was very comfortable and warm with a log burner which we used on several occasions. It was very in keeping with the local area and had been tastefully decorated, the kitchen we believe had recently been renovated too which was a nice surprise. It was nice to have Christmas decorations too which had been put up for us with fresh Christmas Ivy. We cooked a full Christmas dinner in the kitchen and found all equipment to be of a high standard, the oven cooked the turkey perfectly! The only thing missing was a gravy boat so had to use the measuring jug instead!!!! We had a fantastic time, loved the cottage, the gardens we believe would be a lovely space in the summer with fantastic views. I would not hesitate at having Christmas here again!! Thank you

Cosy, warm cottage in great location
Well equipped, warm and cosy cottage in ideal location for the Central Lake District. Outside lighting could improve. No welcome pack. The pull switch in the upstairs bathroom was faulty.

Wonderful location with incredible views
Rose Bank is a lovely cosy cottage with incredible views and perfect location within the village of Braithwaite. We have stopped there 5 times up till now with a further booking next year. The village shop is a couple of minutes walk and the 3 pubs are not much more. The lounge/diner is cosy with a log burner. There is wi-fi which works great and also alterations to local mobile masts now mean you can get a good signal in the cottage. The TV is small but adequate as most people will no doubt take advantage of the pubs. The view through the lounge sliding doors is lovely and if weather permits the patio furniture provides a relaxing area to sit. The garden is of a reasonably large size and is pet friendly. If you stop there please remember to stock the feeder on the bird table and you will be rewarded with frequent visitors. Bird food is usually provided too. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and the small table enables breakfast for a few people. There is a washing room with washing machine and boot room at the back of the kitchen with access to the garden too. The downstairs bathroom is nicely appointed with a shower over the bath. There a three bedrooms upstairs, Double, twin with en-suite and a single. All have comfortable beds and sufficient storage for clothes, etc. This is a lovely little cottage in a beautiful village but I do have to add that it is looking a little tired now. Since our first stay nothing has changed and I feel it could do with a little lift. Our last stay we had several light bulbs out and found cob webs in quite a few places which is down to the cleaning staff. It won't stop us staying again as overall it is a nice place to be with great location for walking and being pet friendly is great. I would still recommend this cottage to anyone as it has a lot going for it.
