The former Chaucer House Hotel, was converted into 14 luxury apartments and located in the heart of Keswick with all amenities on the doorstep Chaucer House. It is a perfect base to enjoy a holiday in the Northern Lakes. With many walks surrounding this pretty town, your car may never leave its parking space.
The lake is within a 10-minute stroll, taking you through the beautiful Hope Park Memorial Gardens with mini golf, crazy golf and putting. Launches run regularly around the lake with numerous drop off points.
This ground floor, former show apartment is beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped providing a very high standard of accommodation and comfort for guests.

Great location.
Great location. The cottage is nice, is pretty well equipped and it’s very convenient to have dedicated parking. Only couple of small points- no bathmats in the bathrooms. It’s not nice stepping out from shower/bath without one and the glassware could do with a revamp - the cottage is for four but only 2 wine glasses. However, as I said, these are minor gripes. I would still recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to visit Keswick.

Modern appartment in a Victorian era building which only problem is flat above noise travels down through the ceiling, not bad if you have considerate neighbours which we had. kitchen equipment with everything we needed living room spacious and very relaxing bedrooms a little small but beds very comfortable Car parking was great with your own dedicated numbered parking space, I drive an SUV and it was ample. only one shower so that is a bit of a draw back but bath in other utility room Overall it is a great place to base yourself for the Lake district and would stay again

A very comfortable flat and a perfect base for walks in the Keswick area. We were rather surprised at having to pay an additional charge for towels. While the kitchen was well-equipped the lack of work surfaces made it difficult to prepare food that didn't simply require heating in the oven or microwave. We were also disappointed that there were no recycling facilities on-site and the suggestion was that we should take our own recycling to the local recycling centre - surely in 2019 it shouldn't be that hard to arrange a recycling service in the middle of a town?

Excellent accommodation situated just a few hundred yards from Keswick centre. A quiet and peaceful location with easy access to the lake and amenities. The apartment is clean and bright with comfortable furnishing and tasteful decor. We had a wonderful holiday. Keswick and the surrounding countryside has much to offer: wonderful scenery, walks, cafes, restaurants and facilities. We have used this apartment on many occasions and see it as home from home. We'll be back next year.

Once again we had an excellent stay at Derwentwater in Keswick.
Once again we had an excellent stay at Derwentwater in Keswick. The apartment meets our needs completely as it is so well placed for town and the fells as well as having a comfortable interior to relax. The designated parking space removes many of the concerns one can have with other properties in the area. Annoyingly the fire alarm activated one night (a false alarm) however we can take the positive that it did indeed wake us up! We have never known it to go off before, and we have stayed here many times, so hopefully a one-off. This did not distract from another great stay in the Lakes...
