"Savonlinna Rentals is modern and spotlessly tidy throughout. It’s very close to the Savonlinna train station. It has fast WIFI and a good number of bathrooms (shared). Lastly it is relatively inexpensive. I would definitely stay again."

"This is not by any stretch of the imagination a hotel. It would be generous to describe it as a tired student hall of residence or a cheap backpaper's hostel that has seen better days. The room is stark and very poorly equipped. Advertised for 'self catering' there were no amenities whatsover provided - no crockery or cutlery, no cooking utensils, not even a mug. "Absolutely loved the atmosphere! Old school turned into a hotel, wood-fired sauna in its own building, food and herbs from their own garden. "Great location by the lake, with beautiful views. This is an older property which has been repurposed. It would be great if they redid the interiors to make it more comfortable, although it is an interesting view of an older hotel. It faces the sun in the morning, so the rooms get quite hot and opening the windows can only cool it so much, so it was quite warm in the evening. "Our whole family really enjoyed our stay at the Fireman Center. Olga was a wonderful host, she showed us around and gave advice for places to see in the area. The room and bathroom were very spacious and cozy, everything was very clean. Our kids loved the fire station theme and had a lot of fun with the fire trucks, the mini golf, and the trampoline outside. We will definitely come back!"

"This is the first time that I have stayed here. It is a lovely hotel and is only a ten minute walk to the centre. The choices at breakfast are really good. There is an ABC garage across the road and it has a cafe and a small supermarket the cakes here are amazing. In the centre there is the tourist information centre, two supermarkets (S Market and K Market) and there is also a Marimekko shop with plenty of offers on. The only thing is that this hotel is quite far away from the train station so I advise that you order a taxi through Meneva to get you to the hotel. I would stay here again when I visit Kitee."
