The Space:
Nestled at the base of the Catskills, DomeHaus offers a distinctive architectural experience with thoughtful touches for a memorable retreat. The main dome features a cozy bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom. The adjoining yurt includes another queen bed and a full bathroom with running water and electricity, blending outdoor adventure with luxurious comfort for a truly unique glamping experience.
Relax in various spaces between the two domes. In the main dome, unwind on the expansive sofa, stream shows on the Smart TV, or curl up with a book in the reading chair. There’s also a desk with an HDMI-connected monitor for convenience. In the yurt, enjoy pond views through large windows, lounge on outdoor furniture, or dine at the picnic table.
The well-equipped kitchen surpasses typical rentals, featuring a food processor, ample cookware, and a dining table for five. Essentials like coffee, tea, olive oil, salt, pepper, and basic spices are provided. Additionally, the home includes a whole-house water filtration system.
Discover the Catskills’ hiking trails with our guidebook, which highlights top local restaurants, hikes, and experiences.
Guest Access:
Enjoy full, private access to the main geodesic dome, the yurt, and 2.5 acres of property. Amenities include high-speed internet, air conditioning, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and a selection of board games and puzzles. The home is fully heated and air-conditioned, with clean tap water sourced from the nearby reservoir.
Additional Notes:
**For late fall and winter stays (November through March), please note that while the yurt offers a fully equipped and elevated glamping experience, it is still a tent. The mini-split heating system performs defrost cycles overnight, causing brief pauses in heat. We want to provide a fair heads-up: it can get chilly! We highly recommend that guests feel comfortable maintaining a fire in the woodstove and cozying up with the provided blankets to fully enjoy the charm of this unique winter escape.**
We regularly maintain the property, so you might see lawn mowing, gardening, or driveway plowing during your stay.
Power outages can occur due to storms, so keep your devices charged, and we’ll provide tips for handling them.
As upstate living includes wildlife like ticks, bugs, and bears, please help us keep the home free of pests by keeping doors closed.
As a husband-and-wife team, we are personally involved in managing the property. Please treat our home and neighbors with care, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything during your stay!
