I grew up in Oklahoma, and some of my fondest memories are the day trips my grandparents used to take my brothers and I on back in the 80’s. Two of the places we visited often back then were the Heavener Runestone Park and the Spiro Mounds.
I booked this cabin over the past weekend for myself, my 3 youngest kids, and 2 of my adult sons so my kids could experience both places as well. The cabin was clean, comfortable, well-taken care of, and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped, and you can tell someone put a lot of thought and love into their decisions about furniture and decor. The beds are really comfortable. Someone loves this place.
It’s in rural Keota and the layout of the property makes it feel pretty private. On the first night we found that you can get a fantastic view of the stars from the little patio and from the backyard. I’d put a hammock out there just for that. We roasted hot dogs and toasted marshmallows for S’mores on the fire pit, star-gazed both nights, and had a great, relaxing time.
It just has good, relaxing energy.
