Relax on the River and Enjoy Southeast Iowa's Beauty

This cabin is nestled by the bridge across the river from Pittsburgh, Iowa, just a few miles west of Keosauqua on a paved road. Accommodations not only include the cabin, but also 1.5 acres of flat, riverfront land to play, relax and enjoy nature. A screened porch with seating overlooks the Des Moines river. The river view from this cabin is amazing.

The main/master bedroom has a full-sized bed, while the remaining loft area is furnished with two full-sized beds, comfortable for sleeping six people. The cozy living room is furnished with a reclining love seat and TV/DVD player and DISH Network! The kitchen is equipped with a full refrigerator and stove and a full table/benches for plenty of seating. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of fishing, sitting by the fire pit, or just relaxing while the sun goes down over the river.

The amazing wildlife along the river is absolutely beautiful. If you enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing and nature, this is the cabin for you!

Note: cell phone reception is spotting at the cabin, but better in town. There IS WiFi and DISH Network. You can unwind and relax with some amenities. Also the driveway is steeper. During winter months all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive is best!

We had a great stay. The host checked in but we didn’t need anything- the cabin is just as pictured with great views of the Des Moines River. The area has nice parks and lakes- can’t wait to come back!

We had a nice stay and saw an Eagle fishing one morning and geese the next morning. Beautiful screened in porch to go out and have your morning coffee.

We loved our stay here! We had 2 couples and 3 larger dogs - we had just the right amount of room! A large area for the dogs to run and a good amount of fishing spots right on the bank. Beds were comfy - good size fire pit with plenty of wood!

Peaceful cabin on the river. My cousins enjoyed the stay so much they plan to rebook in the future. Caught some channel cats by the bridge even in low water.

A real cabin, recently upgraded
I've been surprised to see so many cabins in Iowa with drywall interiors. Not this one, this is a real cabin with real wood walls. The front patio was recently upgraded. Fun place to stay.

Nice getaway
Needed a short getaway from normal life. This was it. Reasonably priced, riverfront and somewhat out in the middle of nowhere. This was great for our family to get away with our recent rescue dog that we did not feel comfortable leaving with anyone. We will be back.

We were unable to flush toilet paper; therefore we all tried to not have bm's. The showerhead was totally loose. Bedbugs were found in the downstairs area. For the cost, it was disappointing. However we did love the outside area and the screened in porch
