Hacienda Sonoma is one of the few vacation rental properties within walking distance to so many wineries! Custom built in 2008 -- professionally designed and beautifully decorated, every detail has been thoughtfully considered with wonderful weekends in mind. Entertaining is easy here, and the location is perfect -- walk to nine wineries (or drive to over 50 wineries within 10 miles), walk to a nice dinner or our local market, and no one has to be the 'D.D.' on vacation. If you're a 'foodie,' this house was designed for you! Every possible amenity is available for entertaining in style, including a wood-fired pizza oven, 2 dishwashers, extra-large oven, KitchenAid stand mixer, and beautiful serving pieces.

Stay in luxurious comfort with pillow-top mattresses, spacious travertine bathrooms with lots of outlets and elbow space, two fireplaces, a bocce court, a pool table and bar, large flat-screen TV, and whole-house sound system. Our gardens are filled with flowers (plus a lavender field behind the house), a zinfandel vineyard, and herb garden. Al Fresco living / dining / and cooking areas are lit by chandeliers.

A thousand activities close by! Sonoma Valley is full of fun things to do. Whether you're into golf or skydiving, hiking or wine pairings, there's something fun for you in our area.

Girls' weekends are fun at Hacienda Sonoma, too! We can arrange for a private chef and/or massage therapists on site. Wonderful spas abound in Sonoma Valley. The best part about our location in Wine Country? No one has to be the "D.D." There's more than a full weekend of wine-tasting within a 5-block radius of our property. If you'd like to sample some of the more than 50 wineries within a 10-mile radius, let us recommend a great limo service to take you wine-tasting in style!

It's a foodie/wine-lover's paradise: Sonoma Valley has been rated as one of the top destinations in the world for food and wine, and Hacienda Sonoma was designed to be the perfect environment for enjoying them. Our kitchen is huge and extremely well equipped. When have you rented a vacation home that came with an Italian wood-fired pizza oven, a KitchenAid stand mixer, two dishwashers, two coffee pots, built-in grill, electric wine bottle opener, extra-large professional oven, and matching place settings for 20? We love to cook and entertain, and we love to do it in Wine Country style. Visit the local farmers' markets and be inspired, or, hire our chef to come and cook for a truly memorable occasion.

Fun is everywhere at Hacienda Sonoma! Our bocce court, pool table, whole-house sound system, plasma T.V., upstairs bar, Blu-Ray DVD player, DVR, DirecTV Satellite system, VCR, puzzles, board games, WiFi, and even the redwood play structure in the back yard, means that fun is had by everyone in the group.

The property was amazing. Clean, well stocked (very well stocked), walkable to some wineries/tasting rooms. Only 25 minutes to downtown Sonoma. The bedrooms were great, as were the kitchen and common areas. It was very nice to sit outside and watch a game on bocce. We would most definitely come back again sometime.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hacienda Sonoma. The home is large and comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. The owners were very responsive and they do an excellent job regarding details on their home and the area. This is by far one of the nicest rentals that we have enjoyed!

If you’re are planning a central location around Napa and Sonoma wine country you need to stay here! Absolute amazing property and the owner/host is incredibly hospitable as well. 5 star on everything. Only problem was our schedule was so busy visiting wineries we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the property as much as we would have liked to.

What a fun stay we had in Kenwood. Great location in between Santa Rosa and Sonoma. This house was luxurious for two couples; with two master suites for each couple. Perfect! Wish we had a longer stay with you.

Highly recommend Hacienda Sonoma. The property is beautiful, welcoming, and sparkling clean. Fantastic access to hiking trails and, upon your return, the perfect outdoor area for dining and a beverage. Fabulous wine country retreat
Hacienda Sonoma was the perfect home base for our long weekend —so convenient and close to great wineries and restaurants — and Bridget was really proactive and helpful. The bedrooms are very comfortable and private, the kitchen incredibly well stocked whether you’re just planning to make breakfasts, grill, or prepare a full gourmet meal. (We did all 3!). And the Bocce court and pool table were a fantastic treat at the end of day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home - we hope to come back again!

The home was beautiful
Loved everything about the place! Two very minor things: we arrived late evening and the street was very dark with no way to find the house number since there were no lights on outside, and the house was very chilly since it was unusually chilly (32 degrees) the evening we arrived. Otherwise it was a perfect place, the kitchen was a cook’s dream kitchen, the space inviting and very comfortable! Bridget was super helpful and quick to assist! I would come back if in the area again!

A perfect Wine Country vacation!
Hacienda Sonoma was perfect -- we could walk to lots of wineries, the house was gorgeous, and lots of fun details (electric wine opener, wine trivia games, bunches of battery-operated candles). We loved playing bocce matches in the evening, and the huge lavender field behind the house was all in bloom and amazing! We originally thought we might want to be closer to the Sonoma Square, but we ended up only venturing in once to shop -- we all wanted to be back at the house, hanging out on the patio, with steaks on the grill instead. Definitely walk over to Mayo Reserve tasting room -- they pair 6 or 7 courses of food with different wines -- incredible! It's foodie heaven.

If I could, I would have kept this gem for myself. But since we had such a great time, I know that I should give credit where it's due. It's a quiet, beautiful, tastefully decorated and thoughtfully maintained property that would make your great vacation at Sonoma even better. After my fair share of staying at "it's-still-good-let's-take-it-to-our-rental-property" or "new-from-IKEA" houses, I can say that this property looks and feels as a luxury summer house that someone would make for oneself to enjoy. We didn't have any issues that required help, but even in a day-to-day course of our vacation it didn't feel like we were left on our own (as you are sometimes when staying at private properties): the owner made sure to update us on the matters that could be important to us (not related to the property). All-in-all, we and our friends enjoyed our stay at the property, and we hope to come back there one day.

Nice family vacation home
This house was a wonderful place for 6-8 people to stay. It is perfect for all adults. The house is clean and welll-decorated. It was very comfortable. The children enjoyed playing in the spacious living areas and outside on the swing set. The rental agreement has everyone going inside at 10pm and that curtails the bocce ball playing. We enjoyed the bocce ball court otherwise. If you bring children, however, it might be nice to have a television downstairs because the children's bedroom is upstairs next to the television and recreation room. Therefore we were not able to use it in the evening. The kitchen is wonderful. It is well-stocked. If you are a cook you will have everything you need.

Stop Looking--This is the Place to Stay!
Our family has been renting homes for vacations for many years now and without question this is the finest home we have rented. Everything you read about the home is accurate. In a sentence, the house is first class. The kitchen is complete for all cooking needs, the dining table is perfect for a large group, the back yard could not be more relaxing. The house is particularly well suited for kids. Tons of board games, a play set in the large yard, a pool table upstairs and a great private room upstairs perfectly set up for kids with a camping motif. Because we have a two year old, we asked if the house had baby gates--it didn't until Bridget bought one for us! It is perfect example of how she ALWAYS responds to your needs. She also recommended that we go to the Mayo wine tasting one block away, which we never would have done without her recommendation. As with everything, she was spot on and we had a fantastic wine tasting and food pairing. Rent this house if you are staying anywhere near Sonoma!!!

Easily the nicest vacation home we've ever shared!
We arrived at Hacienda Sonoma just as things in Wine Country were beginning to return to some sense of normalcy after the recent fires. Thankfully this little slice of heaven, and the wineries, restaurants, and lovely neighborhood surrounding it, were untouched. The home itself was immaculately clean and welcoming - every little detail thought out to make guests feel pampered, but right at home at the same time. We got to meet Bridget, the owner, in person as she stopped by to harvest the grapes from the wonderful garden during our stay, and it's clear that she and her family care very deeply about their guests having a great experience. Overall, the vast majority of wineries, vineyards, and businesses in Sonoma and Napa were not directly impacted by the fires. They are ready and eager to welcome folks back to enjoy their beautiful valleys and genuinely friendly hospitality. During our stay, we visited VJB Vineyard & Cellars, had two dinners at Palooza, and stocked up on supplies at Kenwood Market, all within easy walking distance We also did a winery tour with Perata Luxury Tours, which was first-class all the way. But honestly, the best memories of the whole trip were the moments spent with our family right there in Hacienda Sonoma, and we heartily recommend it to anyone considering a visit to Wine Country!

Spectacular Wine Country Visit
Truly a 5 Star stay at Hacienda Sonoma. My wife and I were joined by two other wonderful couples and this was their first visit to Wine Country. Beautiful Sonoma Home
Communication with Bridget was a breeze...all her recommendations were spot on.Her home is in a great area...walkable to several wineries and tasting rooms. Home is beautifully decorated and furnished, including a large "chefs kitchen". She had mentioned 4 private chefs. WE hit a homerun with chef Kelly Macdonald, who not only cooked a great meal but was a great story teller as well....great cook and very personable. High marks for Chef Kel. WE were lucky enough to meet the homeowner Bridget as she needed to stop by our last day there. She was lovely and charming....actually she reminded of a much younger Heidi Barrett . Loved everything about this home...highly recommended ...I will be back. The only complaint I had, and I did mention it to Bridget was there seemed to be a problem with wine evaporating pretty quickly in the confines of the house. Otherwise....HIGH marks!
