"We had a great one night at Sprowston Manor, the room was nice and the restaurant catered well.for my wife who is Celiac. Just a couple of negatives , the heating in the room (137) was making a banging noice which kept us awake until 3am and the room types don't macth what you book. I booked a superior double room and got a executive double, not sure of the differences but it was a nice room."

"Dunston Hall was a beautiful stay. Friendly staff (especially Sally at the front desk), comfortable beds and quiet. I love historic hotels, so this definitely fit the bill. Would definitely stay here again!"

"In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle. "My tiny room was sufficient and quiet,of human noise anyway.The restfulness of my stay was however ruined by some sort of generator or extractor that hummed like an aeroplane on and off night and day outside. Duvet only just warm enough and I am not a fussy person. Place a bit soulless and staff therefore a bit disengaged. It’s an interesting formula for low cost accommodation but needs tweaking back a bit from being quite so basic and functional."

"Was a nice hotel in a good area. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fine. Was about 7 mins from the station and 15 minutes from the centre. The restaurant was nice. Food is vegetarian and vegan"

"Basic but spotlessly clean. Good for a short stay where all I needed was bed and breakfast. My only complaint was that I was not warned that parking was restricted (on Saturdays as well as weekdays) and I got a ticket. Not really their fault, but maybe something to note."
