"Lovely spacious room. Comfy bed. No one on reception when we got there on Friday Dec 27th but after ringing a phone number and leaving a message we were greeted by the owners son. We were asked if we wanted a meal that night or breakfast in the morning which we didnt need. It would have been nice to visit the bar on Friday pm but we found it closed at 9:45pm when we tried to visit it. Maybe it would be open later a different day or in the summer. A pleasant stay if you want to stay in your room."

"The rooms are basic, and as a repeat customer I know this. No shower in this particular room, but a large bath. Biggest issue - room was freezing with no way to tweak heating. No iron in the room either. "

Difficult to open windows and the rooms are accessible from the back of the pub so you have to go outside if you want to go to the pub which isn’t ideal if it’s cold/rainy. "From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by all the staff The Hotel is beautiful with original features etc It has a bowling green at the rear & ample parking We had rooms that were across from the main hotel which suited us 4 ladies as none of us are under 60 yrs ,( oldest being 82 yrs ) so not having a flight of stairs to climb was fantastic We had our own entrance to our rooms so having another door you could lock was very reassuring ( room no.11&12 ) The beds were very...

"I have stayed in many places and I can safely say this was one of my top three! Cozy clean super comfortable the surrounding ( the village) quaint and gorgeous friendly bar downstairs gave first drink on the house for guests the breakfast was delicious and homemade wonderful service bed unbelievably comfortable I could move in ! "I really like this hotel. Its in a great location in the middle of Aylsham which is a lovely little place. The hotel is a vibey pub with decent rooms. The rooms are comfortable and clean and all different. Which makes a change to premier inns etc. The staff are always pleasant and the whole place seems easy and stress free. "Perfect venue. Location excellent for where we needed to be. Lovely friendly people who couldn't do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble.
