"Hotel staff was amazing. The hotel food was so so good. We loved the aurora wake up calls and they would also announce it during dinner in the dining room. I wouldn't hesitate go back, after long days heoking and exploring hotel ranga felt like coming home for a cozy night"

"The room and bathroom were relatively small but worked for us. We did not like the hot tubs and they were not warm enough, only 38C. Sauna was ok. We enjoyed the breakfast, good selection and good coffee."

Frostastaðavatn is a lake in the Highlands of Iceland, not far from the famous mountains of Landmannalaugar and the volcano Hekla. Frostastaðavatn is Icelandic for "lake of the frosty place". No frost there in early September, but I can only imagine what it looks like in Winter! Anyone going to Landmannalaugar should definitely make a stop here. The views here and near this location are stunning and otherworldly!
