"The property is in a beautiful location with access to a beautiful beach. Gardens/pathways are well maintained. The spa is excellent. Small problem areas are - teapot in room still full of old tea/rust colored water in the kettle/wooden strip above the lounge curtain fell off/dinner was mediocre (risotto was terrible - stodgy lump)/back of house area behind our villa had garbage lying around. Devil is in the details. "

"This property is on a quiet street and our rooms were lovely and clean. The owner is very engaging and caring. I was a bit apprehensive coming to South Africa, but “Lord Flanegan” as I call him made us feel welcome and safe. He is very helpful and generous with his time. Oh and the breakfast. Thx Stewart. "This was my first time staying at Hillcrest and it was so lovely! The owner and her staff were extremely welcoming, the room was comfortable, breakfast was fantastic. The location is convenience to restaurants, a mall, and the beach. I will definitely be back!"

"Unit was quite run down. Location in nice dune forest. Have to wade through estuary to get to beach though. "

"We checked in after hours and the guest next door were very loud. They partied until after midnight and nobody on the staff are security told them to be quiet."
