Welcome to the Hawaiian Breeze House

STVR-19-363817/NUC-19-1527
Your own private acre! We know this house is fabulous! We vacationed on this island for ten years before we found it and we knew then we'd found the perfect place for us!

Being travelers ourselves, we hate hidden fees. We never charge for additional guests.

Designed for optimum tropic living, this house has vented vaults to release the warm rising air, ceiling fans and two sets of french doors to swing open during the heat of the day to allow the trade winds to blow through. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and an expansive wrap around porch with outdoor living, eating, a porch swing with a jungle view and even a swinging bed for your enjoyment.

This home has all new appliances, furniture, carpet, new pillow-top mattresses, and all the comforts of home sitting on one lush acre of green grass with avocado trees and regal palms blowing in the breeze. Lots of privacy and lots of adventures to be had nearby!

Located conveniently between Hilo, Volcano, and the artsy little town of Pahoa, there are so many exciting things to do. Things we never miss; swimming at Carl Smith Beach Park (swim in a white sand-bottomed lagoon and sunbathe in a park-like grassy setting), enjoying the fresh produce, jewelry and trinkets at the farmers markets (in Maku'u 5 minutes away and in another in Hilo), Visiting Volcano National Park (check ahead to see if lava is flowing!), eating in charming Pahoa restaurants, and soaking in the local culture Wednesday evenings at Uncle Roberts Kalapana market (a great place to have dinner, listen to music, have a cocktail and watch the locals dance the hula!) We'll leave you a binder with all our favorite things to do and how to get there! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Much Aloha!

Charming Retreat on the Big Island
Our stay at the Hawaiian Breeze House was a one of a kind experience! The home is beautiful and unique, almost like a treehouse nestled among lovely landscapes. The seclusion offered a perfect escape, and we were able to stargaze at night. The funny animals, especially the chickens and roosters that wandered through, added a charming touch. While there's no A/C and it did get pretty hot, the fans and open windows at night helped cool things down. We would definitely stay here again! Mahalo!

Hawaiian getaway
An awesome stay at this Hawaiian getaway at my aunts vacation home! Very glad we made the trip. So many adventures and memories made. The house is so nice and has everything you need. The main bedroom has a king size bed which was a plus. I was warned about the frogs and critters at night, but I slept with white noise and they didn't bother us at all. Highlights were swimming at Carl Smith Beach, Kula Shave Ice, Lava Thai, Volcanoes national Park, and Maku'u farmers market! We will most definitely be back ;) and I can't wait!

Nice house.
The house worked well. A nice base for exploring Hilo side of island. We particularly like the large porch. We enjoyed watching the feral chickens in the yard and hearing the sounds of nature in the evening. The roosters do crow very early but we went to bed early so it didn't bother us.

Beautiful jungle hideaway
This place lives up to the pictures. Nice space with everything we needed, good kitchen, laundry, stable internet, three rooms. It's in the Hilo jungle so you'll hear chirping frogs at night and roosters in the morning. I loved sitting out on the porch to enjoy the ambiance. If you like the wet Hilo side, this place is amazing. Don't forget to check out the Maku'u farmer's market on Sunday!

Beautiful Home to enjoy the East side of Hawaii
My family really enjoyed the stay in this beautiful home. We had a bit of a rough first night, but Trena (the host) ensured that we felt at home. The kids enjoyed the huge garden and would love to come back.

Hawaiian Breeze
We enjoyed our time at Hawaiian Breeze, eating on the veranda, swinging on the porch swing as we listened to the many birds sing. The proximity to the National Park and to Hilo were ideal. We also enjoyed the cliffs down the beach road and watching the waves crash. The house itself had everything we needed and we especially appreciated having a washer and dryer available to us. The kitchen was well appointed with all of the pans, and dishes we needed. We definitely recommend the property for larger groups as well. Mahalo

Awesome Hawaiian Retreat
My wife and grandkids stayed at the Hawaiian Breeze House and all of us loved it. The property is large and well landscaped and when we were home the kids had a great time playing in the yard. Unprompted, they told us how much they loved the house and yard, so that shoes that it is special. We had a mix of great weather as well as a full day of torrential downpour (15 inches of rain!) and even the rain was enjoyed by all. We had a couple of times we needed to contact the host (non-major issues) and she was easy to reach, a good resource and excellent to deal with. We would return to the Hawaiian Breeze House in a heartbeat.

Paradise within Paradise
The Doughty book pokes fun at the “Paradise” neighborhood, but this place creates sense of seclusion. Surrounded by jungle, you can hear coqui and birds (as well as the neighboring chickens). It’s easy to get to Hilo as well as Volcano from here, and it’s also a pleasant place to just hang out.

Secluded location
We enjoyed our time at this vacation home in the jungle. It is definitely loud with lots of chicken noises. We got used to that and it was so quiet and secluded. A nice place to get away from the crowds and relax and unwind after touring around all day. We really enjoyed our time here!

Just as described
Our family of five really enjoyed our three night stay. The property was clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. It was great to have lunch or dinner on the balcony. The greenery around the house really adds to the tropical feel. Yes there are early morning roosters but we masked them with fan and white noise. Overall, I would definitely recommend this house.

Hawaiian Paradise Park hideaway
We loved this hidden property at the end of a long gravel road. The sounds of wildlife make you feel like you’re in the middle of a tropical jungle. The house was clean and roomy and the beds were very comfortable. We were pleased with all of the amenities and the helpful handbook provided by the host of all of the best local drives, attractions and restaurants. Look forward to staying here again.

This house is better than expected, private location in the jungle. All that you need for a great time with your family. We enjoyed the rain in the evening. A lot of birds around and we are completely happy to rent it again. The location is close to Hilo with good food and a farmers market, Volcano national park, Botanica Gardens, and a lot of beaches.

The vacation house makes the vacation!
The house was just as inviting as the pictures, and the bed-swing was a dream! We loved just hanging out there and relaxing together. I definitely hope to return to this vacation home the next time I visit The Big Island. In the meantime, I’m gonna see how I can recreate that bed-swing at my house!

Amazing time
Home was perfect. Enjoyed the Country living. Early morning light rain showers, followed by crisp clean air. Place was quiet and serene. Enjoyed the market on Sunday. Lots of Local vendors with fresh fruit and produce and a wide assortment of goods, and food. A nice few restaurants in the area. Kaleo’s- Great food and entertainment. When needing groceries and supplies you can head down into Pāhoa which is less than 3 miles away. There’s lots of eateries there to choose from if your not using the kitchen. Just be aware that places close early, so plan accordingly.

Very nice and comfortable
We really enjoyed the house it was well equipped, good internet, lots of outdoor area. It was just my partner and I and we really enjoy that we started relaxing as soon as we entered the proprety. One thing we did not like but it is not the owner's fault is that many roosters will start being noisy at about 3 am throughout the mornings. They are likely wild but they kept us awake unfortunatly. Otherwise we loved the proprety so much we hiked the volcano paark trails and enjoyed Hilo very much.

Lovely stay at Hawaiian Breeze
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a very rainy week in the area and the home provided a great place to unwind at the end of the day. The covered lanai was wonderful and comfortable. It made a great place to hangout, have meals while being protected from the rain. It was well appointed (I suggest checking the pantry/fridge prior to buying groceries) in the kitchen, bathroom items, sunscreen, bug spray, beach stuff, etc. Additionally, the owner Trena has been very helpful, we left an item and have been able to work with her to get it back. Very helpful!
