"The staff are lovely and helpful and hotel is quite nice. Its location is also very central. The hotel room was quite cold, however, due to gaps between the windows and the window frame. The hotel offers heaters but these are reasonably pricey. I was able to manage in November but I suspect it would be miserable in December and January. Also the hot water supply was inadequate. It took 20-25 mins to heat up and I found that I had to turn up the heat every minute to keep it reasonably warm."

"Goomtee Tea Garden estate is a lovely place to escape for a weekend. The staff are exceptionally friendly and kind, and of course it was lovely to have fresh delicious tea grown on the estate. Staff will arrange a tour of the tea plantation as well as the factory upon request and can also help arrange a ticket for a toy train ride. Meals are wholesome and prepared with love by the resident cook, who appears after every meal to see if the guests liked the food. "

Fantastic hotel with Kanchenjunga view rooms

"Fantastic hotel in Gandhi Road. Close to Darjeeling mall, great rooms and wonderful service from the staff. The breakfast has a lot of options and all the food items are very well made. The Kanchenjunga view rooms don't let you down either. Overall, 10/10 and must recommend. "

"Service, location, friendly accommodating staff made us feel like home. Kanchanjungha views from hotel view point.. outside some rooms, dining hall, outside reception.. everywhere. Gave some suggestions and feed back to the general manager who was very appreciative of the constructive feed back. Passion of the staff to serve customers is unparalleled and trickles down from the leadership of Debarya, who seems to talk about the resort like it's his baby. Doma in dining room, authentic Nepalese cells roti made fresh was cherry on top. Will be back. "
