"I stayed here for two weeks and the experience was wonderful. Sheryl was such a welcoming and lovely host and accommodated us with whatever we needed or asked for. It was comfortable and the view and surrounding area was beautiful to experience, especially in the hot tub! Staying here was worth the extra bit of distance from Napier and Hastings because it felt so removed from the city and had lots of peace and quiet (including the occasional distant bleat of sheep or moos!). Because my partner and I are total homebodies, it was a nice place to experience and appreciate the nature in NZ on the days we didn't go out. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you have or plan to rent a car!"

"Absolutely a top-notch stay. Great room, clean, with an incredible view. The hosts couldn’t be more lovely. Went out of their way to make us feel welcome and that we had just made lifelong friends. A terrific stay from start to finish. Would happily return again anytime and can’t recommend it enough!"

"The cabin was not stand alone. The map suggests that it may be divided into two however there were at least 4 single rooms attached to ours which were not sound proofed, so could hear everything from the other rooms. The bbq was rusty and no foil provided so was not able to be used. The room was not clean with cobwebs everywhere which were old so had not been dusted. The table inside was hanging off the wall so was scared to put anything on it and you couldn’t sit outside because of the Utes tearing up the dirt road covering you in road dust. The linen was clean but the bed was awful with hard springs, neither person could move without the other person jumping all over the place. The shower was however amazing. "
