"Staff at the property is disgusting, rude, show obscene signs. This is obscene behavior is shown by the kitchen cooks, servers and night shift desk clerk. They are very upset on the fact, guests coming from abroad spending whole day in visiting sites. I had cancelled my stay at the property after tolerating this abuse for three days. Property is old and not not kept clean either. Will not recommend this place if they charge more than $10/nignt. "

"Very well maintained property. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Only issue was at check-in. I had reserved a room for a half day as my flight left in the evening. I had my text message from the hotel stating it would be $50 extra which I agreed to. Lady at the desk had to see the text. Take a screen shot and make a phone call to get approval. Rest of the stay was fine."

"I appreciated the improvements to the rooms I stayed in, compared to past trips. This included such things as better lighting, or better shower layout. Location is fairly convenient to access all things in Thamel, and taxis were readily available at the hotel for daytime excursions. Breakfast was abundant, and staff were universally helpful and smiling. Their friendliness certainly enhanced the comfort and joy of my stay. I have stayed here multiple times in past years and would return!"

Excellent value, central hotel with a personl feel

" We returned to the Swarga after staying at other bigger hotels and immediately enjoyed the more personal feel of a smaller hotel. The interior with genuine Nepalese artefacts and the delightful courtyard for breakfast make for a charming and relaxing ambiance. The excitement of old Kathmandu is just around the corner, yet the hotel itself is an oasis of calm and quiet. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We would certainly return here."

"The Nirvana Boutique Hotel is a little oasis in the middle the Thamel area of Kathmandu!! Their outdoor garden courtyard is the perfect place to relax with your meal or a drink after a busy day out! The staff are absolutely amazing, very helpful, friendly and warm! The breakfast was delicious and plentiful! I would highly recommend the Nirvana Boutique hotel!! "
