"A very unique property that does not fit any criteria neatly. Our room has a separate dining room and basic kitchen. Yes the property is old but it’s not tired. It is family run with great pride. And what a location right under the rocks of Meteora and within walking distance of three of the monasteries for those who are ready for the steps. You do need nerves of steel to drive up the narrow streets to get to the hotel!"

"We were more than thrilled with our stay at Mones! From the amazing quiet location- nestled among the towering Meteora rocks; to the stunning design of the building and rooms; to the exemplary service, we couldn’t have been happier. Of special note was the buffet breakfast- one of the best we have ever enjoyed. Make sure to leave room for the avocado toast- for a real treat. Our only regret is that we only stayed there two nights. Mones would be a great place to spend a week and explore the area. "
