Then there is the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel that was outstanding, plus the loads of amenities we didn't even get to sample due to our enjoying the slopes in Garmish so much. And we also revelled in the Amazing food + beer and wine. All in all, we felt like royalty staying at our winter palace :)"

"We stayed for just 2 nights but could easily have stayed much longer. Our room (2.5) was perfect and comfortable in every way for us. It’s 2 mins from the bus stop of the F line from the airport and we arrived early hoping to store our luggage and we were so happy to find that our room was ready for us. It was lovely and warm too when coming in from the near freezing temperatures outside. An easy flat 15 min walk into town. We will definitely look to stay here when we return, it’s a gem. "

Despite it being over new year and very busy around the castle they gave us a room with a birdseye view of the castle and also the beautiful horse pulled carriages some people use to get to the castle. I had been unable to get tickets to visit neuschwanstein castle before hand but they were able to get us some for the following morning and said their staff...
