"We stayed at this property for the annual Toowoon Bay ocean swim and it was a great spot due to the location being walking distance to the beach. Self contained so it was easy to make meals with even some provision of basic long life goods (tinned foods/spices) which we didn’t use but great to be on offer. "Elm Cottage is in a great location, walking distance to the lake, the local shops and a short 4 minute drive to the beach. It has a lovely layout, generous kitchen and great outdoor area and games room. The house was clean especially the bathrooms and kitchen. "Stayed for a wedding reception at Blacksmiths Beach SLSC - perfect location for any function there. Walked down to the beach for a swim at Granny's. Used the BBQ area for cooking and meals. Easy walk to and from the surf club for the wedding. Great location. Lovely and cool when the weather was hot and really comfortable."

"The location of the property is excellent. With little kids during school holidays the stay was great for us. There’s so much to do along the foreshore. My 6 year old loves to fish and there’s rod holders built in along the waters edge. My 4 year old loved the park and water play area as well as the amusement park rides. "The room was cute and i loved the old school elevator. It is noisy but that’s expected from a pub so i wasn’t too bothered by it.The bathroom is very luxurious for pub accomodation and the room had a sink and good fridge.Also the tv was great I could log into Netflix and watch YouTube on it.I would recommend coming here if you like a nice heritage place and don’t mind the noise at night.They do provide ear plugs in the room. Also i have to mention that they have a really lovely assortment of tea not the cheap stuff they have good quality organic tea very nice and coffee too and 2 packers of small little cookies which were delicious. I didn’t try the food there but maybe next time. But the kebab shop across the rd was 10/10."
