The Minnow Bucket was perfect in every way! Very close to the water, very cute, clean and quiet area. Yes, there are a few RV's parked in their places but they were neat and tidy and I rarely saw anyone else there.
Had a wonderful time!!!! Watch out for stumps in water. The Cypress trees were amazing. Good fishing. Still can't believe I caught a northern Pike in Texas!!!!
This was a GREAT place to stay for kayaking! The launch into Big Lake was about 100 steps from the front porch. We also made the short drive to Caddo Lake State Park and launched at Mill Creek.
The cabin was spotless and looked just like the pictures. My only complaint is that there is no place to unpack. A place to store clothes/equipment would be nice.
We enjoyed our stay here. We had the small cabin. It was clean, comfortable bed, hot shower, coffee pot. What more do you need? We caught a few fish off the pier, which is always fun. Could use a couple items, as others may have suggested, more dish towels, hooks in the bathroom for towels. The rack there was missing 2 of the 3 hooks. Simple fixes. If you use cabins very often, you know the things you may want to bring. Valarie, the gal managing the place, was AWESOME! She is easy to reach for any needs.

Could have been fine
It was advertised as having a bait shop and kayak rentals on site. Even when we got inside the cabin there’s was a name and number for us to call for rentals. No answer. Ever. And it also said “coke by bait shop”. No. There’s wasn’t one. If I had known all of this I would’nt have been so disappointed.
The cabin was clean and well stocked.
The next morning however we awaken to seams of red wasps inside. Two had gotten inside our suitcase.

The property is lovely, clean and cozy! 1 minute walk from the dock where we fished every day. You also get an up close view of the beautiful bald cypress and wildlife, like the heron who live in the surrounding trees. The kitchen was stocked with most tools you would need to prepare simple meals. The shower was HOT! I saw another review saying the water was tepid at best but we had hot showers every night. The bed downstairs was comfy and lots of pillows were provided. The loft features a nice air mattress, great for kids. My 6 year old loved hanging out in the loft. The couch is also a nice napping or chilling area. The seats fully recline. There is a small table for meals and a nice tv you can see from anywhere. We had a pleasant time talking to neighbors and met the property manager who was more than accommodating. At one point we had a little wasp problem inside (bugs are expected obviously) that was communicated to the owner and action was promptly made to spray around the cabin. That minor inconvenience isnt really worth mentioning except to prove the owner is communicative and takes action even with simple issues immediately. He was also very polite and helpful. Great places to visit nearby include: Auntie Skinners, Jefferson Outpost, Jefferson General store, Captain Rons Swamp Tours, Big Pines Lodge, Lonesome Dove drive thru safari. If you love fishing and great views, this is a perfect spot.

Not waterfront cabin
The cabin backed up to another house; not a pier and waterfront. I was dreadfully disappointed that I could not see the lake while drinking coffee from the privacy of the back porch. The cabin is located within an RV park that fronts the water. So, you can walk over to the water. The photos looked as though the pier and water were likely behind the house. They were not. I specifically searched for waterfront cabins and this pulled up. If having privacy to the water is your priority, look elsewhere.
The cabin was very nice and clean.
We enjoyed our stay here! We fished everyday and it was nice being able to tie the boat up to the bank, so we could easily go back and forth. Plenty of room to park the car and boat by the cabin as well.
This tiny cabin was super cute. Great location! One thing to note is that the loft bed is an air mattress and not an actual bed. The couch was super comfy with recliners! The only suggestion I have would be to have dish towels to use for the kitchen. Otherwise, well stocked for any cooking you might do.
The cabin was perfect for the three of us and our little lake dog. It was great to sit on the porch drinking coffee in the mornings and watch the sun come up over the lake. Just a peaceful little place
My boyfriend and I went for an extended weekend getaway and we weren’t disappointed. All in all, the cabin is nice with only a few little details that were either a minor inconvenience (busy boat ramp in the early morning and late afternoon) or annoying (front door gets stuck on the floor).
This little cabin has everything you need. It sits on property shared with other cabins and eight RV’s and a boat ramp. It’s just right for those fishing and boating although not quite as private as we had hoped. The cabin is fairly new and was spotless. I’d recommend it!
Quite, clean and nice. We had the pleasure of watching a full moon over the lake. Had a late night visitor (fox) came right up to us on the front door porch and ate from my hands. The bad thing was water temp. Showers were Luke warm at best.
