"Fantastic staff...Rooms are more than sufficient, clean and tidy...My only negatives are , No power points beside the bed , to plug laptops etc into and being a tall gent , I find the shower heads are mounted too low...Both are only minor issues tho...I have stayed here numerous times before and will continue to do so in future...I rate the Ashwood Motel a very solid 9 / 10...Thank you for another fantastic stay...Cheers...Bruce."

"We were initially a little unsure about the Narrabeen Sands as it has a 'Sports Bar' at one end which I imagine can get a little lively at the weekend. But our room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and dealt with our problem with the safe quickly and effectively The free under cover parking is also definitely a very useful feature of the hotel. There are surprisingly few hotels on this part of the coast but the Narrabeen Sands deserves your support on its own merits."

It's NAIDOC Week and thought we would celebrate with a walk to see some amazing Aboriginal Art work which is standing the test of time. I have copied the following information from the National Parks website to provide you with accurate information. The photos are my own. smile emoticon I recommend a visit to this special place. BULGANDRY. "Bulgandry Aboriginal art site in Brisbane Water National Park is a special landscape, rich in ancient Aboriginal rock art of the Guringai People. There’s a wide range of well-preserved engravings to see; most of them are more than 200 years old with many perhaps ten times that age. The name Bulgandry belongs to the large engraving of a man thought to represent an ancestral hero, depicted with an impressive headdress. You’ll also see wallabies, fish, a dolphin and what’s thought to be a canoe and a bird. Keep walking to see some stone tool sharpening grooves nearby, or simply take in the site’s beautiful bush surroundings. Indigenous sites such as Bulgandry provide valuable insight into Aboriginal traditions, past lifestyles and previous interactions with the environment.
