5/5 - Excellent
Loved the town of Karatsu- little side streets were so interesting- watch the flower n fresh produce set up every morning. Ride bike to beach/castle area esp on a Sunday. Favorite treat was tasting Saga beef at CARAVAN殺
If you're spending some time in Hamasaki, Nijino Matsubara and Genkai are top sights worth seeing.

Karatsu offers variety of activities. We have enjoyed visiting famous potters and “Tanada” the layers of rice fields on ocean hillside.
