"Excellente Hotel familiale "

"The hotel is very old. The photos on Expedia does not match what you’d expect in person. The front desk staff are incredibly rude and do not treat guests well. They act like they’re being bothered if you come up. In general this place must have been a great hotel 25 years ago but it’s not worth staying at. Save your money and go stay in a different city close to a Antalya . I tried calling Expedia twice to move me to a different location and a newer hotel. "

"Fantastic hotel ,I cannot fault it . The staff are friendly, efficient and very welcoming. The rooms are luxurious modern and clean. The food is extremely good plentiful and varied. The international restaurant and Sandals are of a very high standard. I have stayed in many hotels in Turkey and the Barut Hemera is the best . "

"We have stayed at this hotel before. In the main it was a good stay for the price. Very limited entertainment which was an issue for guests with children. In four days ice cream was only served once and entertainment in the evening only once. Food options were a little limited, but always possible to find something to eat. Staff seemed generally to be not very happy with a few exceptions. Saw staff drop cutlery on a number of occasions and just pick it off the floor and put it out for use....

"Comfortable hotel, frieindly staff, delicious food . Very Clean. Hotel was half active because we travelled in December.but price was very reasonable for the winter time, we were totally satisfied and enjoyed our stay at this hotel. "

"Love the Resort. Variety of Food and Restaurants. Access to the Beautiful Beach was very close to the pools area. The shows during the night was Excellent! I have to much Fun dancing, singing and drinking from the bar which is in the same area. They have many areas to take good pictures. The lobby is nice with bar and piano, also they have few stores inside of the hotel. You have an area where you can pay and have your hair and nails done, also a body massage. All was perfect. Rooms was big...

"Had a lovely time here with my family. The hotel staff were great, facilities well maintained and clean. the housekeeping staff also did a great job daily cleaning our room. The latter made us very comfortable since we had a 9 month old who needed to crawl about. Wish the kids buffet had a few more options though… apart from that the food was lovely. "

"We have only a good experience in Villa Sonata. Hotel is located on the hill, so you can have great view to the city. Even that it's a city center it's quiet and a lot of plans and trees around the hotel. It's really beautiful. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is very nice and polite. We have booked a standard room and they give us much more bigger room with a lot of space, it was really nice, thank you! Totally recommend :) "

"The hotel is located in one of the best spots in Alanya in my opinion, some 25 meters distance from the beach. Migros supermarket two blocks away. Staff and management specially Oscar were absolutely friendly and helpful even in cases that they did not have to be. I admit that the hotel is old, but comfortable, secure and clean with spectacular view of the beach and Mediterranean sea from the forth floor suite we spent our eleven memorable vacation days in. "Very nice hotel, the only thing that spoils it is the ball games in the pool, they should put a notice up no ball games, you had ball's knocking glasses over on the tables , on one occasion a ladies phone was knocked completely off the table,and when the ball games are going on it's very rowdy other hotels don't allow ball games when people are lying there soaking up the sun not very peaceful at all."

great hotel and food

"excellent stay again. food in buffet is excellent quality and always hot. same for bbq and levante restaurants. all staff friendly and smiley. main pool is heated warmer than babies and kids pools and is a lovely temperature. only negatives is that you are pinned in like sardines on the loungers around the pools. the main pool is the same depth throughout. it would be great if there was a slopped entry and more shallow area so that our 7 year old was not out of their depth"
