"We stayed at Hotels Umaiyyal Home Stay for 3 nights. The rooms are very good and spacious. They were tidy and well-maintained. However, during our stay, the lifts were not operational. We were allocated a room on the 3rd floor, so we had to use the stairs for two days. The staff here is not proactive; they wait until we complain, and follow-up is required. "This is a very charming, older hotel that is walking distance close to the Devi Kanyakumari and surrounding temples. It sits right on the beachfront with a beautiful ocean views from high on the top floor and in the dining room. The staff are very friendly and accommodating."

Skip this hotel….

"The reservation booked through Hotels.com was not found at the property. I just asked them to give me a room for a separate payment to avoid the hassle of finding another hotel. The hotel looks good but service was terrible. No hot water, none/limited options for dining or breakfast. No other restaurants close by. TV didn’t work/only Tamil channels."
