Fabulous beach and tavernas
We enjoyed the apartment, although we would have preferred a higher floor for a better view of the sea rather than the driveway.
There are a couple of really nice tavernas nearby, in walking distance. There is no shop, apart from the campsite shop, which is open late but the second time we went, we couldn't find anyone to serve us ... no wine that evening :(
The beach is fantastic ... sandy, with lots of dunes. Take the time to walk the peninsular, it's quite lovely. We loved snorkelling here and the water is clear and lovely to swim in.
The host was lovely and helpful and the girl who cleaned the room was so efficient ! The pool was lovely, although a lot of the time it felt it was being used by family which made it a bit like we were intruding on their space. But it was clean and refreshing. The location was surrounded by trees and greenery which gave it a real sense of peace and tranquility. It is a really quiet location, and fabulous if you want to retreat from the hustle and bustle of town. Paleochora is 6 Euros in a taxi each way so I wouldn't recommend walking in the heat.
