La Quinta was a very good hotel to stay at! The service was excellent and amenities were terrific. The bed was comfortable and the room quite spacious and clean, with a more modern look. The Union Station,which is a popular attraction, was within walking distance (approx 15 min). The breakfast they offer has a good selection of both cold and hot items. We would recommend this hotel as a place to stay if you visit Kansas City!

I stayed here for 2 nights, and all I can say is ROACHES. Woke up every morning to roaches crawling in the bathroom sink. Parking was non-existent, especially on a Saturday night. I had to park 10 minute walk away, pay $40 to a private lot, and walk through the freezing cold with ice on the ground. The rooms are thin and you can hear people yelling from the pool until late at night. Overall, one of the worst experiences I’ve had

But since I had to make the reservation the day before I was set to be there, I was unable to cancel the reservation and was charged the full amount. I understand that's the policy, but I'm still out over $100 now because of it, hence the negative rating.

Our trip was cut short due to the winter weather, so we only stayed 2 nights. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. When the cook didnt' arrive for breakfast, the manager made sure that everything was done. Nice cooked breakfast. Comfortable room. Good central location for traveling the city.
