Cozy Guest Suite with Fireplace & Private Entrance

Come enjoy your stay at our home with a private entrance and outdoor patio in the back of the house in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. You will have an entire guest suite to yourself including one bedroom with an attached bathroom as well as a pull out couch for additional sleeping arrangements. Prepare meals and cocktails at the wet bar before settling down in front of the fireplace and watching your favorite movie on the smart TV w/ access to free wifi. The entire basement suite is designated for the booking guests only! The driveway and backyard are shared spaces on the property. Feel free to use the gas and charcoal grills available as well as the fire pit and tire swing. I am available at any time of the day by using the messaging service through the air bnb app. Please park all vehicles (2-3 total) along the left side of the driveway at all times. If you must park in the street for any reason please let me know ahead of time. Extra bedding for the pull-out couch is located in the cedar chest at the foot of the bed in the master bedroom. Extra blankets as well as the iron and ironing board are located in the closet in the main living area. Bassinet and/or pack-n-play are available upon request for infants and children under 2 years old at no additional cost. Smoking allowed outside in patio area ONLY! No smoking inside the suite. Absolutely NO parties and quiet time after 10pm.

Enjoyed the place, wish it offered a stove to cook with. Otherwise, all was great. I would recommend shoveling the walk ways for safety but otherwise great host!

Amazingly Cozy Stay
It was lovely to stop and rest in a nice, quiet neighborhood. A great place if you want to explore the nearby city without staying in it. Perfect for what we needed! And our hostess was very responsive and accommodating…I really appreciate that!

We were only there over night. It was a very nice place. Comfortable bed. Soft bedding. We slept very good. The decor was nice. We will look for this place next time we're in KC.

Cute stay
The unit is decorated with welcoming colors and decorations. It was very pretty. The fireplace was cozy. The location was close to just about everything you’d need. I wish the outdoor patio would have been cleaned so we could sit there and the wallpaper needed a little repair. Overall, it was a pleasant short stay for what we needed.

I needed a place to stay for a week while in KC, and this worked out really well. 15 minutes from KC, plenty of restaurants nearby, not far off US71, just a good situation for me. Much better than a cramped room somewhere, this is a nice-sized "apartment." Hosts are thoughtful, providing snacks and toiletries - I especially appreciated the wrinkle-release spray! I'd stay here again!

Had a pleasant stay! It was centrally located to the places I was visiting, and the rental space was perfect for my needs. Quiet hosts and neighborhood. Easy in and out, check-in and check-out. Amenities were adequate and made my stay pleasant. Very comfortable stay and the gas fireplace came in handy and co,zy the first night when it was a bit chilly outside. Close to plenty of available restaurants and highway access. Perfect for a single visitor or a couple wishing to explore KC's southland areas!

Anniversary trio
The hosts were very accommodating, but not at all intrusive. Melody communicates well on the app. If we ever go to KC again this VRBO will be at the top of our list. Very cozy stay with more than adequate supplies if you plan to eat most meals out. Snacks were available. You would be able to make simple meals.

Excellent stay
This was a great place, and I have no problem with it. My only issue was that it was 30 min from Independence (where my conference was.) I was led to believe it was closer (like 10 min.) I was a little annoyed with the much longer drive time than I was expecting, but the place was excellent.

Close to HEART of KC w/ no Chaos
Melody is a great host with comfortable space at the basement level. There were a couple concerns that she explained & assured me would be addressed. It was only 20 minutes from the Cable Dahmer Arena, and that was my focus for the Chris Tomlin Holy Forever World Tour. Do prefer a more functional kitchen option. Did not use the shower or fireplace. The property could use a renovation update. Thank You Melody !

The place looked great. The folksy sayings were a nice touch. Whatever I didn't like someone else will. I'd recommend this to anyone. I liked the bar the most. The snacks were good, too. Oh, the label removal square things on the stools helped me. Thank you.

Pros and Cons
The place is nicely furnished and the host has provided lots of ammeties that make the stay comfortable. The location was perfect for our purpose for the trip and close to olwhat we needed. However, the home is older and haa very creaky floors which means you will.hear every foot step and noisw that happens above you at all hours of the day and night. The shower was also very tricky with cold and hot water not working properly.

The space was bigger than I anticipated. The listing said “cozy” which typically means tiny, but there was a good amount of space. It is a basement apartment and there is a family, I’m assuming the host, residing upstairs. There are the usual sounds that go along with that, but nothing annoying. The water pressure was less than I’m used to, and the air conditioning was set lower than I expected (with no control by the guests), but overall, it was a great experience. We attended a Royals MLB game, which was only a 20 minute drive and there were plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. The kitchen is more or less a wet bar with a microwave and mini-fridge, but it suited our needs sufficiently. I would recommend this stay to a friend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

A couple of suggestions. Need to get a plug in near the Keurig. We had to put it in the ledge of the wall in the living room to use it. Also that mattress on that pull out stinks. I'm 63 and for your price it should be a better mattress. Need more blankets. Cold down there.

My Stay
Overall it was nice, the owner doesn’t state that they are going to be living upstairs above like it’s an apartment, and they don’t tell you it’s a basement, they list it under a house. Also they have young children and you can hear their little feet running around and there whole conversation, so i’m sure they could hear us too. The Shower and fire place were my fav, there’s no stove to cook. really i just wish this stuff was listed but it isn’t so don’t be fooled.
