"Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. Short walk into Riga old town, on key bus and tram routes. Easy access to the airport too. Line 22 bus stops outside the hotel. Comfortable and clean. Very 90s in some places, but clean, functional and in good condition. "

"Very convenient Old Town location with almost everything walkable. The hotel is old fashioned and perhaps a bit tired in some parts, but very charming. The rooms are big enough with decent storage, and the bathroom was excellent, although the shower over the bath might present a problem for some. Breakfast had a reasonable variety of hot and cold food, but some items were occasionally missing and the coffee machine was not particularly user friendly. Minor points not detracting from a good 9 day...

"What a wonderful, relaxing 4 night stay we had at the Grand Poet Hotel. The staff, before, during and after our stay couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating. "

"I like this hotel , stayed here for last 4 years . Roughly 20 times so far . I can see natural wear and tear in Roots and at the property. It is clean and staff is very accommodating, this review is more of a shoutout to the owners and management “ don’t let things get away from you! There are multiple things at the property that need updating and upgrading . Like shower hose and dusty dated curtains, some furniture items and bedding! Small investment here and there will keep loyal customers...

"Stayed here before, and enjoyed my stay so came back again. Reception staff are so lovely and willing to help, as well as restaurant staff. Room had strange issue where reading light could not be switched on if main light was off. Also power sockets turned off when main light was switched off. This was a small issue, and did not happen last time. Overall a great stay"

"Absolutely fantastic. Would not even consider staying anywhere else when visiting Riga. The staff are exceptional and make you feel very special. We used most of the facilities and all were as you would expect from a high end hotel. Simply brilliant all round."
