But this is a very basic accommodation, and the bathroom was in need of some repair. The owner and family were very helpful and accommodating, and in general the people in this area are very nice. Inspect the kitchen utensils, the water filter is leaking, the dish soup is non-existent, the drying rack left in the kitchen cupboard to house insects, the living room sofa leather was teared apart. The amenities advertised includes water bottles, but when asked for it from the staff on site, it’s not provided as complimentary. "Great place with nice rooms and beautiful view (both to Mt Kinabalu and Kota Kinabalu). Standard Malaysian breakfast and decent lunch and dinner menu. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room (104) was very good although there are a few ants around (so make sure not to leave food around). Bed, shower and toilet were nice and clean. Internet worked quite well (not guaranteed in this area). Our best place in Sabah so far (out of 6 good hotels)."

"This property is so run down physically, pictures on the website are so deceiving. Spring in bed is so bad, wooden floor creaks, you will keep waking up if you are light sleeper with any movement in bed or across the room. The stench from the toilet is awful if you forget to close the door. Hot water runs out, so you better shower fast. Staff are friendly and accommodating though and the breath taking view of the mountain from your room makes the stay here worthwhile. The management needs to...
